This is what keeps me hooked on contemporary music!! Amazingly inventive piece based around a bonkers concept, hypnotizing and virtuosic performance. Incredible use of the resources available. Bravo to all invovled, and thank you so much for making such a high quality video.

It’s a wonderful piece of music, a combination of wind sounds and percussion . I also enjoyed the intelligent dialogue between the composer and the soloist.

Nice connection there with the Gamelan concept behind. Gamelan seems to have a continuous circular movement which is fragmented here recalling more natural tempos

Qu'est que tu Faits Mon Potes!! VERY FASCINATING. MERCI !! !! !! Incroyable, Mes Amis Baterries!!! I thought of Gamelan before you said it. Sorry, my Francais et tre's limite'. I have been a drummer since age 13... so 60 years now. And STILL performing a few times per month with several bands on a substitute basis. Some groups even fly me out-of-state to save them if they have an issue with a drummer. J'aime le musique inspirationale... comme ci. You are finding New Pathways! @@popwillodrum1 true. Be ready with your orchestral percussion performance tomorrow for your jury sir. 😋we’ll start with some rudiments first, lesson 25, and then a pataflafla….then we’ll move to the percussion section pieces that will consist of 64 bars played at 70 bpm. Good luck.

I enjoy assembling a bunch of percussive bricka brack together to make musical pieces like these sometimes. Where they were discussing using multiple players is cool, but I think it's more challenging and rewarding for one person to do pieces. But that's my preference.
