I've been drumming professionally most of my life (I'm 63) and Yussef Dayes inspires me like no other recent drummer. I love how he's tuned his side toms here. And that beat on the second track is mind-blowing. His groove and technique are just amazing. This is lovely, groovy, funky music. Music at its best, really. Enjoy. I met Yussef at a small clinic he put on, it was great, he made every single person in the room play drums. He was also very humble and down-to-earth. Afterwards he spent time talking to pretty much everyone individually.
