Many people haven’t upgraded their defenses to the max level, and some of them even don’t have the new defenses. Maybe th17 would be harder after all buildings get maxed out. By the way, I just go to th15. Although the hero and troop levels are th15 because of the town hall upgrading boost, the equipment level, troop capacity, cc building and pets that are used in the video are th14. So th14 can also try this army and beat th17 if the strategy is well executed.

(1)Earthquake boot + Gauntlet This combination can not only open up the walls but also tank more damage. But the problem is that instead of destroying key defenses. Eq boot just damage them. (2)Gauntlet + Rage vial You can get so many value if you make good use of this combo. However, you need to care about the cc. Don't stuck on the ice golem while open up the ability ! Another problem is that this equipment can't open up the walls, so maybe you should bring more wall breakers (at the cost of less superwitches / apprentice warden / valkyries) ,or bring 1 more jump (at the cost of invis/ freeze/rage spell) .Your main troops would be weaker because of that.

It is more difficult to attack a base where key defenses are spread out. Although this dispersed formation has lower firepower, it is beneficial for the combination of Healers and Super Witches to stay alive longer. However, since the Fireball get less value, it often takes more time for lower-level Town Halls to attack max bases, leading to issues with time fail.
