I overhauled those transmissions long time ago when I worked for gm .. my brothers truck transmission he had overhauled at a shop failed on the way home damn . So we pulled it out and went through it . Had to go to a salvage yard to get some parts that had failed. Seems like the front pump. Never gave any more trouble . I was in my early 20s . Long time ago . I appreciate your time on the videos thanks . I left Gm a long time ago I dont regret the move. I hate warrenty work

I've got a th 400 doing the exact same thing tearing it apart this weekend. Can't figure out the year though

What kind of rebuild kit do you recommend

For the money the Jegs kit has Raybestos clutches, both bands in Kevlar, and a full bushing kit. Less than $150
