This is how it was back then for multicultural musicals. It was more raw, actors came from different regions in the world with different theater experiences, some didn't have any. It was more thrilling and profitable for producers. It's extremely different at present. The heart and soul for each production is not the same as today's musicals.

Now THIS is hard work. They had so much to arrange: the scenery, the moves on stage, the music and orchestration, the acting. But I would feel lucky as hell if I was one of the girls and had to attend all these rehearsals and maybe get exhausted after them, but I would also talk to the cast guys, I would work with them and get to know them, collaborate for something beautiful. That's how beautiful things are done. If only this was a world where talent and not acquaintances could provide you with such an experience. I don't say that I am a super-talented singer, but I have a certain....er...aptitude.

This story of Ms Saigon actually happened also in real life of a Filipina,, and i know Ms Leah gave her best since she is familiar with this kind of story. Her IQ is beyond compare. You cannot be singing a song in a play without understanding emotion and delivery. English proficiency and familiarity helps her and her talent completed the whole package. SHE IS LEAH SALONGA, no one can be like her. I am thankful for carrying the whole country and not just the flag.

Simon Bowman, Keith Burns and Glyn Kerslake from Les Miserables; Jonathan Pryce from The Crown and Pirates of the Caribbean; Claire Moore the original Alternate Christine of Sarah Brightman in Phantom of the Opera; Pinky Amador who was in 2005 Encantadia (Mark Herras’s mom there); Isay Alvarez and Robert Sena of Pulang Araw; Jenine Desiderio the mom of Janella Salvador; Jonjon Briones who will act with Liza Soberano in Patron Saints of Nothing movie; and of course Lea Salonga.

@@MS-df2fk where did you see him being "rude" to his dresser? I saw a video of Miss Saigon, where the cast is getting ready for the opening night. The actor, Peter Polycarpou, John, is having his microphone fixed to his head. That is the only situation that I have seen when someone has appeared to be a bit impatient. A few nerves are normal, I would have thought, it's opening night. A lot depends on everything going right.Sometimes tension spills over. Peter and Simon look similar to each other. It is Peter having his head mic fixed, not Simon. Diva???
