You press Z to twirl, but it gets confusing if Z means both spin jump and twirl. The accepted indicator is a curved rail at the spot you twirl.

From what I have heard a few of them say, people went & took their usernames before they could use them. So someone out there has a Ryukahr profile, carlsagan, etc. Which is a dick move, whoever did it.

@@ivan_pozdeev_u Your Mario Maker 2 name is separate from your Nintendo account. When u get the game you choose your name, & if it's taken u have to pick another. For example, Ryu has a Nintendo account, I'm guessing under Ryukahr. But his name in Mario Maker 2 is RyuSMM, which is specific to the game.
