One of the drivers there, Kenny Bräck. You should check out his very crazy crash. It's easy to find here on the tube, and it's truly insane. He got hurt of course, but he's alive and well to this day - and that's nothing but a miracle. In the crash, he experienced 193 G 😲

Some people say over 200 Gs. I just went and watched it, and it is incredible. Edit: lol holy eff the doctor had to put his shin bones in bags and label them "left shin" and "right shin" for the surgeons, and Kenny laughs about this!

Drafting is a real thing. Even if you are just on a regular highway. When an object is moving fast enough, it take some time for air molecules to fully fill up the space the object just moved from. So if another object is moving behind the first object, the second object will have less air molecules to deal with, and thus less drag. So the second object will either use less energy to move at the same speed as the object on front of it, or can move faster with the same amount of energy(although it will of course have to move out of the draft to not collide with the object on front and thus jockey lose the benefits of the draft)

1:56 - The name Billy Boat is weird sounding, yea. But, early 90s NASCAR drivers Harry Gant and Dick Trickle (yes, really) got him beat, IMO. 😂 Also... 2:31 - The reason the crashes don't damage your car and allow you to continue racing is because you have the option disabled. That can be changed in the "Race Options" menu, seen at the bottom of the screen at 1:56.

You're pretty much correct about drafting. Not all games in the 90's have that mechanic but triple A titles do. Hint: Take 5 minutes to learn about the racing line and you'll breeze through these titles.

This was my first game ever that came with my own personal console on my birthday and i needed to wait 10 months till xmas for goldenye and ocarina to play anything different besides what my friends had. So i legit beat this game as far as i could.. the multiplayer was so fun. Thank you for this nostalgia. Oh, also, my buddy let me borrow extreme g! So we could play something different so we would trade games for a few nights. so i loved that video as well!
