Thai Airways 747-400 BKK to SYD

Watching the aircraft taxi away from the gate made me a tad sad for so often this flight home from Bangkok has meant an end to a wonderful holiday and adventure. I do miss the old safety demonstration (2007ish to 2013ish), it was beautifully done. Thank you.

Great report. Takeoff at night not much to see and after takeoff see the lights of the city. TG service and foods amazing. I miss TG but I flew TG Smile to HKT and back to DMK with my gf was amazing.

Nice airline with nice international service. Thai is a great choice from BKK to the larger gateway cities in Australia. Service on Asian airlines are hard to beat.

Great flight review of Thai B747! I dont think I have been in a B747 before. The BKK airport is very stylish, the tube-like structure look a similar to Dubai Int'l airport.

That's fine. I just wanted to know because I'm flying on a Thai 747-4D7 and I wanted to see if I was getting a refurbished one or the old one. I know now that I'm getting the old one. That only means a square PTV, which is annoying but what can you do? Thanks you for your response! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 keep up the awesome reviews! later this year were going on a 12 hour flight to Bangkok from Auckland on thai airways, hopefully we get a 747-400 like the last time i went on in 2009

Hi Vishal. I'd definitely recommend Thai for the better food and drinks. Both airlines provide friendly service but Thai is just that little better in economy.
