In my 10+ years of flying Thai Airways, I have never encountered an aircraft swapped, nor have I ever heard that Thai Airways is known for swapping aircraft.

I think it depends if you fly longhaul with them or within their Asia network. It will not happen very soon on a longhaul route I think but within the southeast Asian region it will happen more quickly. I heard it before from other people and I did 2 flights with them and on both flights I had an aircraft swap.

Bus boarding is good in Airports like Dubai and Doha where you don't see the pilots who will fly you, its always nice to see the pilots in person in whose hands your life will depend on during your plane journey

Well at least you got to fly an aircraft that is now rare in this region.Their last minute change actually allowed me to be onboard their A330 featuring the star alliance livery 😋

Nice report about a boring flight. I had a great flight in EC with a TG B-777 from Brussels years ago. Remember the nice food, leg room, friendly crew, swift check inn, orchids, … All gone due to “ money no have”.

The plane has IFE onboard but maybe the cabin crew disabled it that’s everybody couldn’t watch the movies. Also those plane badly need’s retrofitting because the seats are in a terrible state and the remote doesn’t work very well sometimes. The remote has a light button to turn on the overhead reading lights but some of them don’t work which is very annoying. It’s very disappointing to see Thai Airways don’t really look the aircraft very well if when it’s old. The 777-200er was use for long haul flights previously and now it’s only used for short haul flights so that’s why they don’t bother to retrofit the plane.

Thats strange no entertainment onboard. The remote control should can access the movies as i did when flying this plane type in 2015. Your vid is taken professional, how you achieve no shaking quality thanks
