Great review and well done video ! Kitty used to be a close friend of mine, when I frequently visited Bangkok every month years ago. I haven't seen him for more than 10 years, fantastic to watch him in your video. I worked as a flight Purser for 25 years with a german airline. Am glad you liked the cabin crew service of TG and thai food, which I too am very fond of. I wish you lots of great flight experiences and reviews !

Looks great. I had a lovely trip from lhr to bkk in March in business class. Alas no pyjamas or hard case amenity kit 😅.. the butterfly pea drink is great. I can get it here often at Thai catering outlets. I found the food , drinks very good and the staff so attentive ..

i actually flew that airframe the week after if was delivered in 2022 from London. My dream to go first or even royal silk one day. Great video. As an englishman I wouldnt have eaten anything on this flight so maybe not worth it for me

29:55 i have been on Their 77Y business class from BKK-LHR but i got the middle seat and my seat IFE were broken and it said Please wait for the whole flight but the service is Very good Someone told me that on 77Y the screen often breaks.

I've flown many airlines & the most memorable flight (so far) has been Thai Airway's Melbourne-Bangkok (economy). The flight attendants were so kind. Their hospitality & service exceeded expectations. The ground crew were so generous- gave me free upgrade to be on exit row seat. The food was great too. It's so great to see Thai Airways staff showcasing and representing the great culture of Thailand

Yeah, I hadn’t been on an airline yet that showed hospitality in their own culture. I did have a flight attendant on Xiamen airlines once greet me in mandarin lol, but she didn’t really put their hands together and bow down to me like these flight attendants did. East Asia is very common for hospitality, though when it comes to air travel, it’s rare outside Thailand. I had flown through Bangkok only once but it was 6 years ago, but I can’t recall if I had experienced hospitality there in the airport.

I try to be open minded about food having travelled Europe and South America but I doubt I would have eaten anything until breakfast. If the flight was from Singapore to Tokyo I wouldn't expect to find any western food but this flight was leaving London. Regardless of the class you are flying in... FA's can have a bad day and we all need to be considerate that they are human beings but every single dish should be Michelin star quality for 'royal first class.' By the way, a huge thanks for giving us time to clearly read the entire menu and wine list. The service looked to as good as any airline could possibly offer with FA's that really could speak English. Even the dinner service ware was really elegant and the spoon holder for the soup was a brilliant touch. Most importantly, thank you for your thoughtful observations and time given to share your trip with all of us. Stay safe in your travels.

It is always nice to go to the airline lounge to have a nicevlight meal and drinks before flying. First Class is always nice to fly especially on those long-haul flights.

Furthermore, your meal service was so very very nice!! Your lunch meal was very nice. The vodka selection wothe the caviar so beautifully given to you by Nip!! And I think the morning breakfast meal service was also very beautiful. The Thai porridge bowl with the mushrooms, rice, chives and claws was perfect!!! You made laugh when I saw the coffee selection. I thoughtand said out loud here at home that it was large espresso but it was an Americano coffee selection!!😅😅😊 For me, your Thai flight was very very nice. Nip and Kittu made this flight really enjoyable!!!😊😊😊

So did you go to see Spurs when you were in London? I’m an Arsenal fan(!), but I would say that Mr Son is one of the best players in the Premier League.. I haven’t flown Thai since 2017 , but I’ve also been lucky enough to try out all their classes before .. your experience in Royal First seems very good .. maybe try BKK to LHR in 1st .. that’s quite the amazing ground experience.. 🙏…

Seat reminds me of the Etihad First Class onboard the A340 that I used about 12 years back, although those had full closing doors for privacy. Somehow I feel the Etihad was wider. That Thai product looks great, in any case, regarding the seat. As for the rest, it seems truly royal. The caviar set up is incredible.

I had never flown on an airline that would give hospitality that represents their own culture. I might choose Thai airways one day for this or at least Thai Air Asia. EDIT: Flew Thai airways 2 weeks ago. Would fly it again, though want to figure out how to film the boarding and deplaning better.

I flew them F a few times. Once they changed the aircraft to a domestic 744 Another flight had a crew who had been made redundant so did the minimum and another the annoying Sam Chui taking over the cabin. Maybe unlucky.

Nice review, as usual. 😊 I have always enjoyed the cabin service on Thai, whether in Economy, Business Class or First Class. The Flight attendants are so gracious and welcoming. Obviously, the star of this flight was the incredible meal service and its presentation. Choosing the native cuisine of an international airline is the only way to go as far as I'm concerned. I'll choose the Western menu if I'm flying from a Western country. The only glaring problem that would make me not choose this flight is the lack of a privacy door that closes completely. I prefer being in my little cocoon, safe and secure and not bothered by people passing by my seat. 🤣 I can't comprehend why any carrier would not offer doors especially in First Class for their long haul flights. Lufthansa has great First Class cabin service but their lack of privacy causes me to select from their competitors for my long haul flights. I haven't read anything recently regarding Thai's financial difficulties and certainly hope that they have turned things around. Do you have any recent knowledge about this? Looking forward to your upcoming reviews.

Great review but I feel first class is becoming a bit of an overspend. Food served at that altitude, reheated, no matter what it’s served in or how is not the same as restaurant food. The soft product is nice, but the price hike really doesn’t warrant it. I’ve flown First with numerous airlines and whilst it’s nice, a lot of J products are narrowing the gap.

Booking first class on Thai Air is risky. The royal family has absolute priority, with no advance reservation required, even if they show up a few minutes before takeoff (it's a large group of hundreds of Thais, not just royalties). If there are no first class seats available, Thai Air kick out as many first class passengers as necessary to make room. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. You're never sure your first class seat is guaranteed until after takeoff.
