ok so this is a little funny but here is how I remember the classes and sounds of ผพฝฟ. I use a basketball memory aid. These two (ฝฟ) are tall so they are (F)orwards, whereas these two (ผพ) are short so they are (P)oint guards. Next, for the class, I use a memory aid which is similiar the previous. These two (ผฝ) like to keep the basketball in the paint so they are tall or HIGH class consonants, whereas (พฟ) these take prefer to keep the basketball further from the hoop because they are short or LOW

13:18 is a good explainer. Basically, tone markers 'can' cancel out high class consonant sounds. Or basically, there are multiple indicators of tones, but no rules for what THE WRITER SHOULD USE. Thai language rules are nearly as bad as English language rules - a free for all 😆

In the end I decided not to include dead consonants. As far as I understand, that consonant is not currently used in any words. I think many find it discouraging to try to learn something only to find out that it is not actually used. That was the reasoning behind the decision, anyway. Hopefully it was correct.
