This is how we did in the past like hundreds of years when the king travel along the rivers to see his people or going to temples before rain season start to giving supplies to the monks.

That is the Suphanahongse Royal Barge, it is shaped like the mythical golden swan or Phoenix that lives in the forests surrounding Mount Meru. The Barge is reserved for the upper members of the royals family.

About Royal Barge Ceremony on Chao Phraya River, it is held on a special occasion such as when the present King Rama X ascended the throne in 2019, the Royal Bargee Ceremony was held as part of land and water tours of the capital, signifying the beginning of a new reign. This year is the 6th 12-year cycle (72 years) anniversary of the king's birth, so the Royal Barge ceremony is held again to cerebrate this auspicious event. There are 52 barges in the event. There are 4 main Royal Barges. The first one is Anantanagara (serpent king with 7 heads, ruler of underworld) This barge bears saffron robes to be presented to monks at Wat Arun as part of Kathin merit making after the end of Buddhist Lent. The second is Suphannahong (mythical divine swan), which carries the King and the Queen. The third is Anekchatphuchong (myriad of snakes), which carries royal kins. This year the king's son and daughter from different concubines are on this barge. The last one is Naraisongsubhan (Vishnu God riding Garuda), which is a reserved barge for the King and Queen. The rowers of the 4 main royal barges row differently from other rowers of other barges. They raise the oars diagonally into the sky looking like birds flapping wings, very beautiful indeed. There are also 2 men who take turn to chant boat songs and rowers perform simple chorus (ha, hai) along the song rhythm.
What I’m concerned about is, how is his concubine ? 😥

He's already the King for many years... what does he need a cornation for?!!
@denseone5 жыл бұрын
Patman 1995 because Thai kingship is not just a political institution, it’s has social and religious roles that only become legitimate in the eyes of the people through ceremony. Rama 8, His Majesty’s uncle, never had a coronation, so his funeral was this of a rank of an uncrowned king.

He's the king of being Trash just like any other Earth king. ONLY ONE TRUE KING(JESUS).
How do you know that Jesus exists? Do not insulted or Racist each other,just Thailand have different cultures from western culture ! your comments let me know that your education does not enhance your mind at all !

Yeet Mister your manner and wording are not Christian like. Jesus would not say it like that. Your too much anger/hurt/pain to have the lord truly in your heart. Compassion, means we celebrate and suffer with others, equal in the lord’s eyes. Love yourself as the lord loves you, be kind.

Yes, Jesus is an a historical person like the Buddha ( Guatama as his family name). But god is another story, never exists.
