It will turn vibrant red after being cooked. Not really flavorful but it has a bit of special umami taste you won't get from any other parts of the lobster. Texture almost like a hard boiled egg yolk. And it is lobster poop, but not the same with the black vein on prawns that need to be removed and it's edible.

That kills the lobster immediately but it is still fresh. The green stuff is not poop. The poop is in a vein or tripe that runs through the middle of the tail just like in a shrimp.There are four types of food equal to gold and diamonds in terms of desirability, lobster, Kobe beef, goose liver and Caviar.

Have you ever had a lobster? A boiled lobster? That’s cooked whole, uncut. You don’t ‘clean’ the insides. You put the lobster in boiling water. I do believe that ‘cleans’ it. And, you do not need to eat what’s inside the head!! Most people don’t. Actually, there really isn’t much in a lobster’s head; literally and figuratively!!! 😁
