THAI STREET FOOD Tour in Lampang | Thai food with a CANTONESE twist!

In this video we take you on a local street food tour around Lampang,
Lampang has no shortage of markets, especially the morning market, that is full of people getting their breakfast, fresh fruit and vegetables and of course COFFEE!
We try out one of the cutest coffee shops located next to the morning market and then head off to a special lunch
Lampang has a very busy lunch scene and when we saw the line of people waiting outside, we could not resist. Kwongkei Hong Kong Roast Duck and Wonton Noodle is probably the most popular lunch time restaurant in Lampang. The Cantonese inspired cuisine is exactly what we were looking for! Many local’s visit this spot because prices are amazing and the food was incredibly delicious! We ordered braised beef with wonton noodles and roasted duck with egg noodles and had to try the deep fried pork wontons. The flavours were rich and SO YUMMY!
We paid 150 Thai Baht ($4.56) for 3 dishes and were pleasantly stuffed!
The local people of Lampang are extremely friendly and welcoming and we were happy to get a local experience first hand and some insight into what is popular without many tourists! We had such a fun journey in Lampang and are excited to get back to Chiang Mai!

Hopefully Oct 2022. We have lots of Thai restaurants here in the US, but if you get roasted duck over rice, it costs about USD $15-$18,then add a 15% tip, and it’s $20 or so.

Your content is so goodddddd. I am so guilty that Lampang has never been in my bucket list. I also like the way you dig deep into our food and our cultures. As much as I love my countries comfort foods. I also like eating like a local for a few random days when I am in Thailand. I remember buying those Lil milk drink bottles. I was not sure how to ask for plain milk. For the tiny cereal boxes, I bought.

I miss Lam Pang. Almost 5 years i’ve been there (and now i’m stuck in Bangkok) Good to see you to happy in Lum Pang. ps.from my experiences and my hypothesis, most of Chinese dishes are from Hong Kong. Congee (in Thai style), dumplings, roasted duck, noodle, soy milk, Pa Tong Go(you tiau; Chinese doughnut but smaller than Hong Kong). It’s funny that i can order them in Mong Kok with Thai language.
