Paradise beach used to be my favorite beach in Phuket but I’m not so sure I can still say that. Originally you could only get there by boat or by hiking through the jungle but it was still very nice after they gave it easier access by extended the paved road all the way through in the early 2000’s. And I was actually happy about this because then I could ride my motorcycle right down to the beach and park. At the time the only building there was a restaurant and so it still had that hidden gem feel. Then, sometime in the past decade they decided to put all these gaudy concrete buildings up which made it look like they were gearing up for hosting an epic full moon party or something. They also created a parking area well above the beach and required everyone to pay first and then take a shuttle the rest of the way to the beach. Still, the 100baht entrance fee did not really bother me as this included a beach chair rental, and that is the price for a beach chair rental anywhere in Phuket. But unfortunately now that the post covid tourist high season has kicked in like crazy they have doubled the price to 200 Baht per person. And its so insanely over crowded now that there is a fair chance that there will not even been any beach chairs available when you get down to the beach. Either way, you still have to pay the 200 baht per person and there are no refunds. Also, just a few months ago, after some bad rain storms washed out some parts of the beach, they put up this ugly metal post and cable fence between the front row of beach chairs and the sea so you have to walk around this to get down to the water now. I would still recommend that everyone go to Paradise Beach at least once but if you want the best experience you should go during high tide. At low tide you cannot really swim there because the rocks and the mostly dead coral of the inner part of the reef are only a foot or two below the surface. Of course if you do get there at low tide you can still walk out about 100 yards or so to the deeper part of the reef. But to avoid walking over rocks and coral you need to follow this narrow sandy path with was cut through the reef many decades ago to allow boats access to the beach during low tide and its still very visible through the water on a sunny day. And once out there you can do some swimming or snorkeling, although honestly you can see a lot more coral and colorful fish on the reef at the northern end of Kata Beach.

We used a Huawei P30 Pro as well as a GoPro for the underwater footage, it mostly depend on the weather, tide and the time of the day, if it comes to beach footage, we try to shoot our videos early in the morning.

Absolutely the most Beautiful beaches I have been too many years ago. It didn’t look like this, at the time they were renovating it. It’s amazing the transformation with a bar & more seats etc. Do you know what time it opens & closes? 🏖️🏖️🏖️
