Well presented video 👍👍 nice job in catching it in time. Did you add a plastersizer in your mix this will make it dry slower and waterproof your concrete it would make a better bonding to the existing concrete

Thanks for checking out the video. Not sure if they added a plastersizer. The crew doing the walls and rendering seem to have a lot of experience, so i am thinking they did it the correct way.

Very cool to see the Thais doing a slump test on the water content of the concrete. Choke dee khup,
@canuckinisaan82422 жыл бұрын
The company that supplied our concrete also supplied the equipment for the slump test, so I am sure that most cement companies in Thailand can do the test. Thanks for checking out the video.

That joint will crack, the reason being humidity. When adding an additional extension of concrete onto an already dry section the dry and wet sections must be wrapped with shrink plastic to allow for uniform drying and curing. If you don't, the dry area will absorb the moisture from the wet section too quickly thus causing it to crack. This will weaken the support ability of your posts. Structure collapse could take place during windy and heavy downpours of rain which Thailand is known for. Take care.

Although they did not wrap it in plastic, they did leave the forms on for an extended time..

Wow…that was a real bummer….good to see there was a fix…and you took it pretty well…I was thinking of longer term stability issues arising and to mitigate that perhaps a cement supporting cross beam at each end might help….of course that also might be overkill…lol

Great catch on the posts. Now can you fix the 🔥? Kane’s 3 goals in under 6 minutes 😖😖

Interesting to watch your journey! I was in Loei for a month until mid-May, and it did rain heavily at times. I look forward to seeing the next video 🙂

3 meter posts from floor to ceiling would be the normal height. 3.5 meter is better to get rid of the heat but unusual.

Our ceiling height is 3 m in the main living area, 2.8 m in the bedrooms and bathrooms.

just curious, can a foreigner own property there in thailand or is it like in the philippines, your wife or gf buys it with 60% interest and you at 40%
@canuckinisaan82422 жыл бұрын
I have never checked into this so I am not sure. But from what I have heard, a foreigner can own up to 49% of a property. I have also heard that a common loophole around that is to set up a company and have the company own the land.
@TheBearStudios2 жыл бұрын
Clarification ......Foreigners can not currently own the land. BUT they can build and own a house on land that they lease or that is owned by a Thai partner.
@BryansThailand2 жыл бұрын
@@TheBearStudios correct also you can have a thai company and the house and land can be in it when done right you can be the majority share holder. There is also a 30+30+30 year lease on the land in your name
