Neck manipulation should always be avoided. Torque applied to the neck can risk damage to vertebral arteries that lead to paralysis or death. Neck muscle massage is OK but not forceful cervical spine manipulation.

If those are her x-rays, it's seems to be focused on a vertebrae in the neck. It's possible he had her next broken. I trust no one with my neck and always tell the masseuse no when she tries to twist my neck. Sad story.

The wires are definitely crazy, but the only time they gave me some concern was when Pattaya would have one of its large floods where you had to sometimes walk through 2-3 feet of water to get to your bike or a motorbike taxi. All you needed was a downed electric line nearby and good luck.

Living in Pattaya and sadly I must say that 8 out of 10 massages are garbage. I have literally stopped not one or two, but six different foot massages that were that unbelievably bad in the last month. Some ladies get mad when I don't want an oil massage, instead wanting a foot massage or neck and shoulder massage. Most ladies seem to only want to get right to the "extras" they offer. I have been told by a couple of massage ladies that many massage shop owners don't care about hiring ladies with certified massage training. Again, it seems to be only about getting big money for "special" massages. It's a shame how much things have changed here, and not for the better.

I personally go for Therapeutic oil massages for my lower back pain. It helps better and with my personal opinion, safer than Thai massages.

We've had this happen here in Canada by over-strenuous chiropractors. It was a big deal quite a long time ago and I can't say if our chiropractors changed their practice.

As unfortunate as this is, regulation is only gonna increase the price at a higher proportion than it is worth. I suggest, risks ought to be noted and if the risks cannot be tolerated, there are already more regulated places in other countries why not leverage those right?
