@@ThailandBound I agree, it is the same all over the world. I have watched a lot of documentaries of this Red Light District lifestyle and they all have one common denominator, Poverty. The other factor along with poverty and found in western (First World) is drugs. Sad to see, girls who are born in to wealth or somewhat well to do, they choose this lifestyle as a way to get back at their parents. So many do drugs willingly and ruin their lives. Well, it is the reason we had to learn Shakespeare in high school. Life is a soap opera.

Moral of the story you can take the girl out of the bar but you can't take the bar out of the girl, honestly can't understand why people would want to marry a bargirl it's a recipe for disaster especially bringing them back to your own country. Seen it here in Australia the old guy with the young girl, the girl gets here after he pays 12k for all the visa process and then realises there are young guys here or better younger options and leaves the old sponsors for the younger upgrade. Even then they are still never happy usually chronic Alcoholics as they've had to sleep with so many old johns and chronic gamblers.

I think the dating agency you refer to is in the Asok area, i think it's 'Times square' where the offices are. Having visited some Thai dating agency's many years ago,they did say they looked into the ladies backgrounds carefully to ensure no 'bar girls' signed up. I wonder how many more 'slip through the net' like Kwan. They say love is blind. looking at it positively, Derek has a lovely daughter and plenty of life experience now.

Great story. Yeah, a lot of women in Asia have this kind of life. Whether it be a bar girl from Thailand or Hong Kong or Vietnam. Some even continue that life here in the US because they don't know or want any other life so the cycle continues. I guess it is really hard for some women to walk away from that life. When I worked in a Gentlemen's Club in Florida, it is the same story with strippers. They are regular people. Hooked on the money and easy life. Get past their prime and don't know how to function anymore. And some repeat the same story that you just told. Thank you for sharing.

That dating agency wasn't very good was it. You would think they would ask the girls for their work records going back a few years . Mind you a lot of those beautiful girls who work in department stores are freelancing at night. I've known two girls from Pattaya that I was with for a while. They ended up dumping me and got married to other guys who live in England. Both of them wanted to hook up with me hear. I had a house made in Thailand and was living with one of them. She was going back to Thailand for a month and the husband wasn't going. She wanted me to go out and stay with her for a month. I turned down the offer. I can go and stay at the house anyway as I get on well with her family who are living in it. These girls amaze me. Like you say peter you can take the girl out of the bar but not the bar out of the girl

I told you the story about me and the mamma San before. But, I actually loved that woman. We did have a connection. I know that they use that to con a lot of tourists. But, she and her girls knew that I wasn’t buying it. Every time I would walk in, the girls would call the mamma San. I met her several times for lunch in the middle of the afternoon and didn’t have to pay a bar fine. My ship mates thought we were getting serious. But, I think we were just good friends.

this story is just like my friends thai wife ,sunny,he was a pattaya addict and met sunny there ,she was more free lancer type girl,university girl,they got married,came back england,bristol,set up home together,i went round to see how his holiday went ,and was greated by a small thai lady,central heating was on full blast,she seem gold digger type and after a year ,found out what he really had,cash,stuff,and she love the night clubs,party girl ,not working ,house work,well things went bad a few years later,he got sent to prison for few years,handling stolen stuff,and she was free ,in the house ,on her own ,not pay the bills,got in the red,with the banks,i had v.o to see him in prison,and he felt let down big time ,he lost his house and she sold all his stuff ,cheap,party every day ,and had boy friends ,was bad time ,i collect evidance for a devorce ,and when he got out ,jail,he got a devorce ,was broke and no were to go,very sad ,she move to london and work there ,plenty boy friends,partys,then went to northampton ,last i heard,she was in a soapy brothel ,by the beer factory,farcotten ,erea ,they seem to live for now ,and forget that they are getting older ,i did take her once to a thai wat ,in london,wibaldon common,sponsor by the thai embbassy ,proper thai monks ,but she not like it ,only thing i got out of it was she teach me 1 to 10 and paa saa thai ,letters numbers,and make a green curry ,have seen a lot of thai ladys in bristol,with sad storys,and in plymouth ,when i am down to visit my sister,she is a school teacher there ,did take a trip to bangkok and chang mai ,before covid lock down,to see what all the fuss was about ,was november and too hot for me 29c ,girls were nice ,lady boys were strange ,but thai culture was a lot different to my english way of life ,met a lot of expats out there too,see how they were getting on ,there storys ,if they were happy there ,well when i hear your storys ,it does explain a lot about sunny ,i now understand her point of view ,and why she does what she does ,well you are doing a great job and should be shown on the airoplane ,12 hours flight ,training ,how not to get burned by them

My ex Thai girlfriend (Wan), from way back was a decent sort, "kinda", I was aware of her dubious background. Met her in Australia, she was visiting a sick friend in hospital, where I was working, had lots of hot buttered toast for several weeks before she had to go back to Thailand, I eventually went over, stayed in Sukhumvit, went to Isaan to meet the family, did the tourist thing, went to Pattaya, (had panic attack when her friend threw a bag of Pot in my lap and said look after this for an hour, expected cops to bust down the door at any minute hehehe), but was okay, met the family, a nice adventure, she even lent me $200 when my bank froze my credit card as I was heading back to Oz. It amazed me when she saw her son whom she had not seen for 4 months or so, not even a hug, a slight head nod to say hi and that was it, just like Kuan/Juan in your story, zero bonding to her child...

I can't recollect talking about young girls but if I did I'm talking 21, 22 and only as an example That older guys should not expect love from girls so young. It is very easy to find mature women in Thailand as it is in every country once you're there you'll find it extremely easy.

Yes, they are mostly predictable that is the nature of these stories but I can only tell them as they happened I don’t want to change them to make them exciting, I prefer the stories to be 100% genuine.

As a graphic artist, for your hair, here 3 options: 1) if you use Primatte for keying the green screen, it has the spill green option to turn on, and it's done. 2) if you use another plugin effect or built-in effect for keying, it should have also that option to spill the green from the keyed figure. 3) If you don't have any built-in option to spill, you can add to the keyed figure a HUE effect (it's a standard effect every graphic or editing software has). Select GREEN from the small drop-down window and set the saturation to zero (all the green on you will turn grey, it generally matches. it's a fast way to fix it even if you can tweak it a bit instead of making it all grey. Also, impressive amount of details ,n your story: It's almost like you were Derek. Great story, btw!

This is why a Filipina girl is so much better than a Thai. Loyalty is a big value in their culture and while they naturally want to be lifted out of poverty, they won't be greedy about it. They are caring by nature which is why our hospitals are full of Filipina nurses. When did you ever see a Thai nurse? I was there for 4 years and I know a bit about them. They also speak good English and are well educated, although for some reason they think England is a little country near Canada and worship the US way too much to the point where English school books feature the statue of liberty on the cover and they are always surprised when I explain that the English language originates from the country of England! I obviously didn't know it at the time but I was staying in a condo on the same street as one of the future 9/11 pilots who had a Filipina girlfriend. I played those Arabs at pool every night and we hated them as I remember my girl warning me not to lose! Most of them owned money changers. I often read the papers with my breakfast and I remember the Bali bombing and about a week befor they had printed a list of targets which included the place I hung out at and indeed Bali was right up there. Every terror attack can be traced back to the Phils, it's the planning point. That's a whole other story though...
