I'm Sukhothai people. 💖 Thank you for travel to my home city respectfully, happy to see you enjoyed ☺btw that 15:20 is spaghetti 'Pad Ki Mao' sauce not Sukhothai noodle, the signature of Sukhothai's noodle is red pork, peanuts, and long bean. It's quite famous you can try in any city in Northern and Central Thailand 🍜

Wonderful- thank you for the beautiful views of Sukhothai! I had a lovely, too short, visit there in 2002 and it looks like one of the view places that hasn’t become overrun since, although maybe that’s the consequence of going at 6am! My clearest memory is actually of the airport, which was, and I believe still is, tiny, with a tourist train like system to take you to the plane and the gate area was not fully enclosed and built in the style of a traditional building! This video definitely makes me want to return very soon!

I’m so glad you enjoyed Sukhothai! That timelapse shot at 12:53 was incredible. Definitely looking forward to your travels around the world :) Sukhothai noodles are a soup-based dish with a clear pork bone broth, fragranced with white pepper. It includes char siu roasted pork, sliced pork, fried garlic, culantro leaves, peanuts, pickled radish, and dried shrimp. It’s like mixing tom yum noodles with pad thai toppings. Next time you’re in Thailand, you can probably find them in Bangkok or other cities as well.

As much as i want to hate you guys you are spot on. Lived in Thailand 5 years and finally made it to sukhothai my last loy krathong as a night stop on the way to chiang mai. Deeply regret not making it my second home. Such an undertrafficked and culturally rich place. I feel like if we met out there somewhere we'd probably argue for a few minutes before becoming best friends. I tend to agree with your perspectives.

Present-day Thailand is made up of many kingdoms. Like many countries in this region, it is a combination of many kingdoms. For example, Sukhothai was the capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom. Chiang Mai was the capital of the Lanna Kingdom to the north. Ayutthaya was the capital of the Ayutthaya Kingdom. The Langkasuka Kingdom, the Srivijaya Kingdom, and the Tambralinga Kingdom were located in the south of Thailand. The relationships between each kingdom are complicated and difficult to explain. Because of the ancient form of government.😊

The oldest kingdom in the area of Thailand is the Dvaravati Kingdom. It is around the 4th-14th century. Last year, this Dvaravati period ancient site was recently recognized as the newest UNESCO World Heritage Site in Thailand. It is called Sri Thep Historical Park in Phetchabun Province. Our knowledge of the Dvaravati period is still very little compared to other kingdoms in Thailand. Sri Thep Historical Park is recognized by UNESCO as being older than Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

14:31It's pan fried Chinese Hokkien noodles, not Sukhothai dish for sure. If you'd like to try it, it's available in Bangkok too. Let's Google find the place for you, using the key word "Sukhothai Noddle". Don't forget to tell them no spicy. You can adjust the taste yourself from condiments at the table in a restaurant. Bon Appétit.

I do love TH, however lately stray dogs get more and more ubiquitous. Pls don’t get me wrong TH is my most favorite country in southeast asia: love the food, culture, transpo, almost everything I just easily get scared to aggressive stray dogs prowling the streets and alleys and sad ro say I palpably noticed it when I traveled to Sukhothai months ago.

They are seeming to increase in number 😞 poor things. We must have been lucky and didn't see too many in Sukhothai relative to other regions, but we still agree it's getting a big out of hand!
