Thailand isn’t business friendly. Spent almost 20 years doing business there. Rules for Thais (much less oversight) rules for foreigners are held to a totally different level. No rights and you can’t fully own your business.

True, but, the online job market might not provide a well suitable candidate. If you want to hire a local personal, who didn't want to change frequently, a physical board is a good choice. Also, online recruitment is quite expensive. Head hunter company charges a lot for the review and recruitment.

thais also don't have a strong work ethic. they work slow and lazy. super low efficiency compared to China and Vietnam. Thais just want to sit in air conditioned offices with 100s of public holidays and have 3 staff for every 1 position so no one has to actually work hard.

In Thailand unemployment is very low so we need lots of foreign labor from Myanmar, Lao and Cambodia. We have around 3 million or more of them now.

Thai Baht is expensive, even the modern Malaysia has cheaper currency than Thailand. Vietnam and Philippines is booming, Indonesia with its more than 200 million population is sufficient by itself and Singapore with English speaking population, good geography, stabilize goverment. I dont think Thailand have a chance whereby its neighbors are competitive.

@@H1labs Ringgit is actually cheaper than Baht, 1 ringgit will only get you 70 cent in THB. MYR is undervalued and THB is overvalued so you have this kind of situation. Not for long tho since the market will correct itself soon since Thailand is on the brink of economic crisis.

Considering that the average monthly wage in Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar is like < $80 compared to Thailand at around $300, I don't think these people will go back to their country any time soon. And btw, things even worse in those countries. Laos is bankrupt. Cambodia is bankrupt. Myanmar is having civil war.

Not true! The recession ended 3 years ago after the COVID. I heard on the news the other day said that Thai economy is worse than the Covid time. In Cambodia, the economy is growing very rapidly. In America there are plenty of works. I heard that Thai made products can no longer complete with the neighboring countries plus the in flow of cheap Chinese goods. Thai economy is in deep trouble. Almost 5000 factories are closed since 2021. It happens so quickly. Very troubling.

Chinese aggresive manufacturing overturn for global matket. 3. tight competition because beside India, other South east asian countries are also hub for manufacturing. that’s not true. I did fine over 20 years. But based on my experience and what I’ve seen happen over time it isn’t business friendly and I say that because they pretend to be. The reality is that they cannot control their own civil servants to do their jobs. The BOI would highly disagree with you as would the Thai trade departments located in almost every embassy globally.

There's no real substance to this story without quantifying the size of the 2000 companies that have shut down. probably 50,000 or way more new companies are formed every month, so unless all these 2000 companies are amongst the largest 100000 companies then it is of little consequence. All i see when taking my daughter to school and back here in Thailand is new developments going up everywhere, I also see the age of cars on the road becoming less with each year, I also see Thai's spending more money on "stuff" than ever before. My assumption from what I see is that the Thai economy is robust. Actual facts would be better in your next video.
