I'm not American. But I really understand why USA is not fan of free market right now, especially towards China. It's because China chooses to be protectionistic. China runs a closed market system to protect the CCP's interests. Free market is an open market. So, there's a collision here. So far, USA has long obeyed China's rules and that has made USA suffer more debt. China has 1.4 billion people to feed, while USA has only 340 million people. That's why communist China uses dirty tactics: firewall, espionage, IP theft, hacking, forced labor, sabotage, cheating, lying, using back doors and many more. China is actually more dependent on USA economically, not the other way around.

If Mexico becomes a powerful country, the famous union of North America between Canada, the USA and Mexico (like the European Union) could take place, increasing the power of the subcontinent and ensuring that neither China nor any other country could surpass the USA (unless there are unions in Asia).
