Thailand Weekend Get Away to Samut Songkhram

In this episode we go on a weekend get away to the town of Samut Songkhram, Thailand and check into the Chuchai Buri Sri Amphawa Hotel and Resort. We will check out some of the local wildlife, and tour the room and grounds before enjoying a light supper at the river front. The following morning after indulging in the complimentary breakfast, it's time to hit the river on a canopy boat piloted by our river guide Oht. We will take in the scenery and visit several local attractions before taking a stroll down the river to the market area. Enjoy the Ride!

I’ve noticed a bump in video quality lately. I wasn’t really paying attention to when this happened but it has happened. Did you pick up a new camera at that pawn shop? Your video stabilization & wide angle hand held shots are a marked improvement. So well done all on fronts. It is a noticeable improvement. Pretty cool to see you experimenting with new editing techniques and music. I like it. Although the fish eye effect is perhaps a bit too prominent. It's great in certain circumstances but perhaps not when walking through a market. Maybe swap lenses when walking when the super wide effect isn't necessary. But thumbs up. I love watching a creator in the process of honing their craft.

30 years ago when I was a spring chicken I used to go to the local library to look at travel books, National Geographic, etc to see places like this. Now I just bookmark a KZbin channel, wait for the daily uploads and watch it all almost as it happens. Loved every frame. This area is one of my fave excursions from BKK. If you feel like you want go back, I'd recommend trying a homestay. Twenty years ago you had to know someone to find one, but now you can probably just book through airbnb or similar.

Yes Bangkok canal trips in a longtail boat is just churning up the sewage flow kind of takes away the ambience of the experience, outside of the big city should be much more pleasant I hope 47 years ago I use to swim in the rivers there can’t imagine doing that today.

I don't understand the star system. For instance in Chiang Mai both the Shangri-La Hotel and U Nimman are 5 star. But the Shangri-La is way nicer. The bathroom of my hotel room in the Shangri La was bigger than the whole hotel room in U Nimman.
