Krop khun krap! Thank you for the class. You do an excellent job explaining the material covered. I took beginning Thai in Chiang Mai which was a disaster.

Thank you for your lesson! I am still a bit confused about how to build negative statements. For example, "we are not friends". Not sure if I can say เราไม่เป็นเพื่อนกัน. Also I am always confused about when to use เป็น or คือ vs มัน. This channel is such a great ressource, I am always sharing it with anyone I know who is learning Thai
@thailessonsbynew2 жыл бұрын
For negative of verb to be เป็น, we might say ไม่ใช่ So it would be เราไม่ใช่เพื่อนกัน For เป็น it is used for telling status For คือ I mentioned it in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHm4cpSHbbh-mck Please follow the link, it might be helpful 😊

Thanks for these 2 episodes about verb "to Be". I know there is a third verb "to Be" in Thai: กือ. May you make a lesson about that if it's possible? ขอบคุณครับครูนิว

Thanks. Is bpen arai (without the maa) mean "What's your problem?" What's wrong?

how do i say "i have stomachache." and "i have diarrhea"? the google translate doesn't show "bpen" or "mee". sorry to bother. i'm a beginner.
@thailessonsbynew4 жыл бұрын
You are right. We don't say bpen and mee in those two cases. It's similar to English. Thai language also have exceptions. For I have stomachache, pŏm bpùat tóng. For I have diarrhea, pŏm tóng sĭa. pŏm for male speaker.😊

"He is my husband" should use "khu" form of the verb to be not "bpenn" because there is only one husband and the reverse is true
@thailessonsbynew Жыл бұрын
You are right. I think in this case, you can say either one 😊
