Land appreciated greatly, very many people became landlords with rental apartments

The budget recently proposed budget for 2023/24 allocated Ksh 244 billion for infrastructure and roads! A good chunk of that money will go to paying contractors who are working on the stalled projects so that they can continue working on these projects! A Chinese contractor here (I forget on which video, it was something about the fastest growing African economies) said that in one African country where they were building roads, they stopped contracts and only just restarted them nearly a year later after re-negotiating cuts for themselves. He was angry about the wastefulness of African countries, because the price of materials has gone up nearly twice since then. It was clear to me that he was talking about Kenya, based on the description of the country. I asked him but he refused to answer. I'll try and find the video again
