Something about this monster feels less scary and more...weary. The sad look on his face, coupled with the scarred head and clearly old, mangled body, plus the way he holds out the man's hat- it just seems like they both are so tired, yet familiar to each other..this piece is very deep, and it makes it oddly more beautiful and horrifying. Amazing job✨

I totally agree! As if the creature represents this weary old businessmans guilt and regret for all the things he has done throughout the years yet they are all each other has left and can't seem to let go even though it causes them both pain! Beautiful piece

To me the creature looks tired. Less that its there for a friend and more like it was called by an emotional resonance and so two kindred souls sit. One terrified and too numbed by exhaustion to do more than sit, and the other aching and weary of its long unending travels looking upon this small creature radiating a weariness so akin to its own.

I can't stop thinking about how curious is this: A man contacts you telling about his nightmare, that one which is perturbing his sleep, you made a video recreating it, and now it's helping me (and probably others) to relax and sleep. I love that. And the final work remembers me to Lovecraft literature. It's always good to see your videos and masterpieces. Thanks!

"Disappoint"?...More like "MAJESTIC BEAUTY OF ART"...Carved by hand is not a simple job...It is THE PERFECTION OF YOUR OWN UNLIMITED IMAGINATION...Hats off to the creator of thalassophobia monsters...I love his crafting skills...Subscribed and follow his channel...
"Sleep was hard for the old man. To him, sleep was not so much a promise of rest but a game of roulette. Either he would be graciously allowed a night's respite, or granted visitation by something... else. Indeed, after the old man found himself nodding off in his chair, it wasn't too long before he was back in the swirling depths of the abyss. He could not stand, nor could he breathe, so instead he clasped his hands on his cane and waited. The distant trills and clucks were all too familiar. They swirled around like the foggy water, and the thought of their source sent chills up his spine. It had played long enough. It made itself known. A baleful skull pressed into view, though he made sure not to gaze upon it. It was flanked by a mane of fins worn ragged by infinite age, and whatever had once been a lower jaw was now endlessly chittering limbs that parsed the water as if searching for something. He knew what it was looking for. He leaned his head forward, and slowly a single arm bent down and took his hat by the brim. It was his father's hat, passed down 3 times before him. If the journals were right, they had not only lent each new son a hat. They had given the gift of the thing as well. The arms tenderly caressed the old hat, like a blind man divining an object in his hands. Time stood still as it worked, the only sounds being the click of water filling his ears, the hums of the beast, and the swish of it's arms through the brine. Finally, after an eternity spent, it placed the hat back on his head. Without another word, it sucked back into the void with such blinding speed that the old man was jolted awake. His eyes flicked open and his adrenaline-laden breath was hot against his hands. He let the sweet air fill his lungs and felt the blanket across his back, and soon he was calm enough to stand and head to the kitchen to fix some tea. As he stood next to the whining kettle, he gazed towards his door, at the cursed remnant of his father's troubled past. There, balanced neatly on the coatrack, was the aged navy blue trilby."
This one perfectly depicts the feeling of being lost. It's not scary, just hopeless and sad

I am mystified. Love the dark presentation and atmosphere of the diorama. I think you did right by how you made the face of the nightmare. In our nightmares, our fear takes over before we can make out any details or even think of why. The nightmare, at least to me, has a very concerned and worried face just like how the old man still has his own worries and troubles which manifest in a mightmare he can't explain. The deep scars representing the battles he has within himself as he ages. Beautiful work!
