That compliment means a lot to me - being different than other KZbin channels is one of my big goals, but lately I've felt like I'm maybe imitating others too much. So it means a lot that you feel that way. Thanks for watching!

I feel like with each video I get closer to realizing my goal: to make these videos tell a story, with emotion or meaning, beyond simply showing how I made the art - rather that the video would be the art itself. This video came closer than any of my previous. Thanks for watching and supporting me in my journey.

The goal for this video was to get practice with water effects for my eventual “Moses parting the red sea” sculpt. But I’ve found in the past it was a struggle to make an interesting video out of a resin pour because it’s kind of boring to watch, so “making a resin pour video not boring” was my secondary goal; I do hope I succeeded.

Hey I loved your video but I recommend that there would not be snow on the mountains the grass would probably be dead and the water would be a little dirty just some tips thank you for the video

@@Animalexotics Thanks for the suggestions! You are totally right about the snow 😅 For the water being dirty, I thought about that, but then I considered that maybe once the volume of water got that high it would dilute the dirtiness of the water to the point it wasn't a significant factor. If this was toward the later end of the flood when the waters have already peaked. I'm not sure. At the end of the day though, I mostly made it clear for artistic reasons -- so you could still see the mountain!

11:55 you could also use clear silicone sealant for the water. same look easyer to handel just use Some alchole to push the waves around 🫡

Yeah, I had hoped an official product would get better results, but I'll have to try that technique next time. I think mostly I just need practice :D

I love it. The facts about the mountain is spot on. Time changes things. And to anyone that says this story can't be true, Explain why you can go into the mountains both east coast and west coast of America and find sea fossils. Great work and I think that you did tell the story throughout the video. till next time

I'm Cristian and believe in the Bible, however, that's not why there are sea fossils on the mountains. Those fossils were made over millions of years, not 40 days. The reason they're up there is because of the way the earth changes. When tectonic plates push against each other it pushes the land together to make mountains and it takes the fossils with it. (Try taking two flat pieces of playdough or clay and push them together. The place where they meet will be taller, and if you put something in the playdough it will be moved with it) fossil wouldn't survive from the flood because the bones would need to be covered in sediment in order to fossilize. The conditions needed to create fossils are pretty specific, which is what makes good fossils so rare. in some places and relatively common in others.

@yourshoulderdevil5229 I disagree. If you take the Bible literally, God created the Heavens and the Earth in 6 days, including dinosaurs, meaning they walked among man. The flood was very sudden as the Bible says that the water from under the earth burst out of the ground and it rained for the first time. Water bursting from the ground could very easily have covered the dinosaurs and anything else very quickly and with great pressure, creating the perfect conditions for fossilization. There have been plenty of fossils found with their necks bent in a way to suggest that they died by drowning.

Hopefully, I didn’t lose people with the jump from Genesis and the flood to Matthew and Jesus’s baptism: I was trying to show that the ultimate fulfillment of “God remembering Noah” was in Jesus; not just the flood waters receding. Although I wanted this diorama to reflect the somber destruction of the flood, I also wanted to end on a positive note and highlight the redemptive part of the story, too. 1 Peter 3:20-22 “to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ”

That's technically true and I thought of that when making it, but decided it looked better anyway. I justified it by thinking that a significantly thick enough ice cap isn't going to instantly melt underwater, just like icebergs don't instantly melt into the ocean. This diorama takes place while it's still raining and the floodwaters are in the process of rising, which means this mountain is only recently covered in water. If the ice caps were thick enough, it's in the realm of plausibility that they'd still be white-topped for now, even if it would melt very soon.
