Heard this version of Nandito Ako about a year after I left PI. Found it on this thing on the computer called a website :) (it was a RealAudio stream). I already had a couple of Thalia's albums (En Extasis and Amor a la Mexicana). When I heard this one, I was really impressed. I had to get this album. This is the first time I've seen this music video. Thanks for putting it up for us.

I know huh? Mexican telenovela used to be BIG HIT back in the Philippines especially because we are mixed with Spanish descent which is why our language TAGALOG has some Spanish words such as la mesa, ora mismo and so many.. Hopefully Filipinos turn to be famous in Mexico like what Manny Pac did.

Awesome! Lol, A chicano singing a filipino song..It's hard to do. Most filipinos can read/sing in spanish, but wouldn't know half of the meaning of the words, so it's much easier. But the other way around is difficult especially from a spanish (from spain). When we read spanish it's more like with (southamerican) accent, like cabeza is pronounce the way its spelt, but in real spanish its pronounce more like cabeth(z)a. Good effort!

Filipinos are NOT LIARS! It is true that Filipinos have 1/2 blood of Hispanic descent because Spaniards from SPAIN used to own the Philippines until June 12 I forgot the year. It's about History. Our language is truly mixed with Spanish and some Filipinos look Hispanics because some of our ancestors came from ESPANA

Tagalog is NOT based on Spanish. Tagalog is part of the Austronesian language family, while Spanish is part of the Latin language family. Does "Magandang umaga" (Good morning) sound anywhere near like "Buenos dias" to you? I think not. We might have SOME Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, and English words incorporated into Tagalog, but Tagalog, Bikol, Cebuano, and etc. are all native Austronesian languages spoken by people of Malay (Indonesians, Malaysians, Filipinos) ethnicity.
