I remember learning to fish on that section as a kid growing up in East Twickenham. That whole section below Richmond bridge on the Twickenham side used to be fishable as the old houses had gardens the river side of Ducks Walk that were mostly overgrown and we’d fish off the old jetty’s. Now that whole sections been built on you can’t access it without a boat. The Section opposite Petersham meadows used to have a jetty going from the bottom of the old Exiles Club garden which has rotted and been taken out now but there was always a depression after a gravel bar which produced big Roach and Perch.

Yeah. We had roach 3.4 and 3.12 Radnor Gardens. A 17lb barbel came out of the same swim!

Grew up fishing Teddington lock, and the draw off was a great time to get some free pike lures that others got snagged up throughout the year haha
