I love this folk music. Gives me a melancholic feel. The mixture of instruments makes this genre unique. Brings .e back to Ireland as well as Scotland. My wife and I have the habit that we take music with us that fits the country we are travelling to. She doesn't like metal🥺. Well, it gives me the opportunity to listen to something else.

I couldn't really form an opinion, so I asked my Celtic druid friend what he thought. He liked it, if a tad repetitive. Nice melody, something you could have playing in the background while tending the grove.

I did say it was a wee bit different; melodic, lyrical, mystical, pagan and folky. Yeah, these guys would fit right in at Mera Luna. Thanks for giving it a go Hedgy.

Good recommendation. I like this track, I am picky with goth styles for some reason, I do like some folk metal. Johanna Krins Vocals are always great, singing in English and when she sings in German. She has a folk band called Delva and she mostly sings in German and plays the Irish low whistle, and the Arabic frame drum. I will have a listen to more from Thanateros. With folk metal I have some albums by Kormak, Furor Gallico, Barad Guldur, Skyclad, and dark folk bands A Tergo Lupi and Wardruna. Kormak are heavier and might appeal to listeners of death metal. Oooo, this very much slots into my goth wheelhouse (see, it's not just industrial...). I prefer maybe a bit more upbeat and folky than this, but definitely gonna look at more of this band, I havent heard them before I could mention loads of other bands in this sphere at this point, so I will: Faun, dArtagnan, Garmarna, Corvus Corax, Wardruna, etc... I was imagining you'd mention Mera Luna off the back of this. It's been on my bucket list for ages, and I'm sure similar bands have been there before.

@kevinfitzpatrick444 Faun and Wardruna are both excellent. Honestly I had Lyrre in mind when I first heard this, hence I thought Hedgy might like it.

If you like Wardruna I would recommend listening to A Tergo Lupi.
