This song reminds me of my Baa (Nani) and her house. During the summer vacations, in the morning time, when she used to clean up the house, ask us to participate in the same, and this would keep playing in the background. Baa is very old now and I play this song everytime we meet. Thandi Hawayein is not just a song to me and my cousins, it's like a small box of happiness that we packed when we were kids. And now whenever we open it, we take out small pieces out of it, and everyone of them feels priceless and we wouldn't trade them for any wealth or status. Happiness and content in its most purest form. Love you Baa.

This is one of my favourite songs. I have listned it innumerable times. I just wonder the God's creation named Lata. What a voice. The songs literally haunts you. It remains lingering with you all the day. Simply unforgettable. The "taan" Haa haa aaaa .... was actually sugeested by great maestro C.Ramchandra. He happened to be there at the recoding studio at the time of recording, and Sachinda also liked it very much. He kept it and also repeated it between 1st and 2nd antara. Those were the golden days. Competition was healthy. Great composers, Great singers.

That thandi hawa was really flowing like the beautiful movement of her hands and fingers like waves. The Dirrctor never failed to show her innocent face fully on the screen. The lyrics, singing, music, action, surroundings all are interwoven and go together in such old songs. Today in present movies, we feel most of the times the songs as hindrances and eagerly wait when they would end. They are most of time , illogical, worthless, unconnected and waste of time. When would our directors and producers change???
