Having gone to school with him for a year as a teenager, I often have the polar opposite reaction when watching him as a villainous sociopath or sadist. He was an incredibly friendly, laid-back guy - never snooty or aloof, let alone menacing - and always a blast to be around. Don’t know if that’s still the case, but whether it is or not, he nails most roles at all points along the ethical spectrum with stunning precision.
