This debate was pretty annoying because he could only think and argue in term of talking points, so the debate constantly went all over the place. But it was HILARIOUS to see him contradict himself multiple times. The best one is he says Christianity shaped our moral and political systems, but then says at the end that if we became MORE Christian we'd become MORE anti-American. I think he just hates Middle-Eastern people and was pulling out "Our civilization is better because..." cards.

One minor nitpick I have with the thumbnail is that the description under the First Amendment should say "Any or no religion is fine". Just a bit more clear to what the key founding fathers behind Separation of Church if State were trying to accomplish. I still think you did well and I enjoyed the video!

The Old Testament endorses slavery and gives laws for it, laws which also discriminate between male and female, and between god's chosen and slaves from other ppl. And what did Jesus say? "Slaves, obey your matters" Thank goodness the abolitionists were better than their religion, which had nothing to do with abolition

Did all the colonials of the Western European Christian empires have the same human rights? Did the subjects of autocratic Western European states in the 18th and 19th centuries have human rights? It's weird that if Christianity is supposed to be _the_ factor that led to human rights that Christian societies had pretty dramatic differences in who was deemed worthy of receiving those rights...

KZbin has become racist towards Aussies. How are you guys supposed to communicate without using that word, doesn't it serve as multiple parts of speech in your language? It's not even like it's a bad thing, it's just a generic pronoun that can take the place of (as far as I understand it) literally any noun. Let's start a petition to stop automatically deleting Australians' comments just because they speak Australian. I'd sign that. Y'all can't help it. You're already on the prison rock, you've already been punished. They don't have to delete y'all's comments to punish y'all further! Have you tried writing it in the Latin style as "cvnt?"
@patrickwoodrow277
@patrickwoodrow277 16 күн бұрын
@ThorsDecree exactly! Was literally gonna write the same thing before I realised there was more to your comment than the first paragraph - it's just a generic noun to attach an adjective to, the point of it is sort of to shift the attention to the adjective and amplify it. Eg, we'd call someone a good cvnt, a dog cvnt, sick cvnt. Plain cvnt is probably similar to the way an american would use it, just with slightly more cultural weight. Also nothing gendered about it, that's purely etymological imo. And while tik tok doesn't accept the roman style, I'm hoping youtube still does or you won't see this

Robotic capitalist bureaucrat cvnts probably ain't gonna stop ya now. o7

Most human rights, if you follow the thread back, go to Native Americans (especially the Iroquois' Great Law of Peace). Hawaii's Law of the Splintered Paddle, informs a lot of the modern UN law about treatment of civilians in war and prisoner's of war. A lot of the people who made the original charters for human rights, specifically look to non-western ideas, since the whole point was to change western ideas into a more ideal form. We've just now accept these as part of our philosophical culture, so forget it took radical thinkers to shift us to where we are now.
