I challenge anyone to name one Fulham player who had a better season than Dempsey did in 2011-2012... Amazing player who did a lot for the club, absolute legend one of the best ever.

Anyone who says Don was better does not know football as Dempsey challenged himself at the highest level by challenging himself in a big pond. Once he succeeded in that challenge, only then he took up MLS. Fulham has always shown great trust in American players such as McBride and Dempsey and I will always be thankful to Fulham FC for that even as a Spurs supporter. La La La Fulham!

To be fair, in his loan move with everton, he lit it up. Scored a couple goals and notched a couple of assists. So he could have easily done work with them. Everton wanted him to stay
@davidt39564 жыл бұрын
@@anthonylong9067 Forget the excuses. A number of American players of his era did succeed in Europe. Dempsey, remains a hero at Fulham for his work there. "Wanted him to stay" means nothing. Donovan decided to be a big fish in a small pond and went running back home. It's one of the reasons he'll never be the best US player of his generation.

David T Dempsey “did it in Europe”. He had 50 in 184 caps. Ur geeking. Do can holds the records for assist for USMT, is tied with Dempsey on the Goals record for USMNT. He also played at the biggest club in Germany, and arguably one of the biggest clubs in the world. Dempsey is class, but he played for Fulham. When people think American football they think of Donovan; and I’m sure of you actually knew soccer, you would know how Donovan was on a different plateau then Clint.

ManUtd should've had him in their squad instead of Giggs from 2009 to 2014 and even if they were a bit late at signing him, for me there was no excuses to not get him by summer 2011 and then you see the season he had in 2011/12 for Fulham he would've been way more important than 4 goals in all comps Giggs was in a season where ManUtd just missed out on the PL title and silverware in general....And that was Giggs's best goalscoring season out if his last 4 and he wasn't good. I also think Dempsey deserved to play in Champions league at some point in his career. He did well in multiple WorldCup's. Spurs were cheated out of CL football in 2012 by Chelski so he would've at least been playing for Spurs in CL in 2012/13. I'm a ManUtd fan but towards the end of 2008/09 season I for the first time got a football shirt that wasn't either ManUtd or England, I got Fulham's home shirt with Dempsey on the back. Like I said, no excuses to not get him by 2 years after that. I had some really awful football experiences from 2009/10 to 2011/12 in particular and ManUtd's bad recruitment from 2008 to 2011 (apart from Hernandez) was partly responsible for that.

He left the club to a rival in such a bitter fashion! Refusing to play, how unprofessional. He came back to the cottage and was booed. His career went downhill when Tottenham saw him as a fringe player and eventually got rid!! I refuse to champion him sorry, we left on bad terms!
@CooManTunes6 жыл бұрын
If he left in such 'bitter fashion', then Fulham wouldn't have posted a tribute video to him. He left because the coach messed up. He wasn't even a starter for Tottenham and, yet, he scored twelve goals. He's the kind of goalscoring talent that Fulham always wanted, and still want.
@ibrahimahmed23626 жыл бұрын
CooManTunes I’m assuming you are a new supporter, what coach messed up you moron? He refused to play for the team and went to a local rival in forced fashion! He then came back with Tottenham and they won 0-3 and got booed for 90 minutes. I have no idea why Fulham F.C. are labelling him a legend when he left in the wrong way. Get your facts right!
@CooManTunes6 жыл бұрын
Ibrahim ahmed LMAO! Calling me a moron. You're the only moron here, you uneducated son of a bitch. You seem to forget that Fulham even wanted him back for several matches, and he went. Yeah...sounds like they held quite the grudge for each other...... :'D It's similar to Vince Carter. He left Toronto, they booed him for leaving, and now they cheer him on and celebrate him because of how much they miss having his kind of talent around.
@ibrahimahmed23626 жыл бұрын
CooManTunes well I refuse to champion these kinda players. However I will have the upmost respect for moussa dembele, who left after Tottenham activated release clause, and he left after Fulham created the right platform for him to fulfill his potential! And he is thankful to this day!! It’s not about leaving, it’s about the way you leave!! Big difference!
@CooManTunes6 жыл бұрын
Ibrahim ahmed Nobody at Fulham cares what you do. They disagree with you and miss him tremendously. Go and love Dembele. He's not going to be cherished as much as Dempsey. Simple fact.
