THANK YOU FIRST RESPONDERS

The COVID-19 pandemic has called upon Westchester County’s heroes - our doctors, nurses, police, firefighters and EMS workers - to respond from the front lines to an unprecedented health crisis where many lives are at stake. During this challenging time, Westchester County Executive George Latimer is calling on all residents to say thank you, and share a message of hope and inspiration for our brave first responders, who put their lives on the line each day to protect us.
Parents and kids can create artwork, post a picture, or record a short video using the hashtags #MyWestchester and #WCThankyou. It is an easy way for the entire family to get involved, and share a Westchester County Thank You with the people who are facing the pandemic head-on.

Westchester County Correction Superior officers Association would also like to thank those individuals who are putting others before themselves, from the Nurses, Doctors, EMT's, Police, Grocery store workers, Delivery personnel etc. That being said, I would like to remind Westchester County and NY State of the thousands of Correction Officers who are going into the jails / prisons every day, where there are numerous individuals who have multiple contagious diseases, Where these same individuals are assaultive to staff, where the COVID-19 virus can run wild among prisoners if not properly contained in areas of concern by these same professional Correction officers! Many citizens have family members incarcerated in these jails /prisons and expect them to be protected from other more violent inmates as well as diseases and it those Correction Officers ON THE FRONT LINE forgotten but always diligent!!!!
