I saw the movie as soon as it became available online here and I can't describe how much I cried while watching it... All his (the main protagonist's) life he did so many things for everyone around him but they all became worthless in a matter of a few seconds. He became unworthy of everyone's love.. I am glad i was able to pick up on your inspiration for the film being people who get memed on without consent. I kept thinking of "gormint aunty" whose image was capitalised on by corporations. In truth she didn't see a penny from it, she was shunned for using galian that we use daily behind closed doors, her daughters were having problems getting married, in the end she had to leave her neighbourhood. Her only sin was expressing her feelings while being a woman in this country.

Sarmad bhai, I would like to say one thing which you might not really appreciate but as your one of the biggest fans, I think I should express my feelings. I absolutely loved your movie. Its a master piece. Beautifully presented. However, the religious aspect that you touched is extremely vulnerable and sensitive. We are being taught religion emotionally rather logically. It could have been a blessing in disguise for you that this movie wasnt given mainstream cinema or coverage. Or else any uneducated fanatic mullah would have passed death fatwa against you. The film is an outstanding exemplar of novel and revolutionary cinema that deals with themes that filmmakers often shy away from in the contemporary cinema of the place it's set in. Your bold take is stupendous! The dialogue, the cinematography, the acting, the frames, the stills, the way every crucial moment is captured (when he's walking back home, when he buys the sweets, the jalebis lying in the bin, the subtle expressions like that at the dholki), I was truly moved. I'm also wondering, was the use of the salutation "Khwaja Sb." intentional? (An ironical statement drawn upon "khwaja sarah")?

Honestly your film had all the thinking elements, how actually our personal relationships in a Pakistani society have come to be. Be it the molvi culture, be it our attitude towards aging parents, the deprived members of our society and the list goes on. Arif Hassan sahab has done an extraordinary job and his face had so many shades of emotions. Samiya mumtaz is always as brilliant as she is in any other project. We need writers to educate our society and to lift up their current intellect level which in my opinion has reached rock bottom. We still hope and pray that sane voices emerge and people have a change of heart being more compassionate towards each other. Thank you Sarmad for telling this beautiful sad story.
