In 2021, our rescue efforts traversed the ongoing pandemic, apocalyptic natural disasters and extraordinary medical obstacles.
We felt joy when complicated feral cats like Harvey, Mega, Ryker and Pomelo found forever families who love them for everything they survived, and everything they are yet to become.
We fell in love with our Princess Panda, a tiny kitten who outlived her body for 46 excruciating/beautiful days. Losing Panda and her beautiful sisters led us to new FeLV research that helped us find their mama Cleo and her brother Sammy the best home ever.
We lost so much sleep preventing a fatal condition called Neonatal Isoerythrolysis in kittens, so we could end tragic cycles of pregnancy and loss for mama cats like Mora, Shiner, Pomelo and Georgia.
We waded into contaminated flood waters trying to bring even the tiniest bit of comfort to absolute devastation, suffering and despair.
We were delighted to help neighbors spay and neuter the cats on their properties, and to help families provide care for their cats during a year when many found themselves in difficult circumstances.
Through ongoing TNR in our community, we prevented more than 1,400 unwanted kittens from being conceived in 2022. We've heard from so many of you who have been inspired to start TNR efforts in your own communities, amplifying that number exponentially on a global scale. 💕
We continued to livestream the uncensored realities of cat overpopulation, with unexpected moments of joy, endless kitten watches, harrowing live births, waiting for placentas, co-parenting, tapeworm poosplosions, 2am feedings, ringworm baths, c-sections, surgeries, anxiety, exhaustion, leg cramps, adrenaline, trapping in floods, unpredictable intakes, triumphant returns and so much more. And of course, the inevitable heartbreak that haunts us when we fight as hard as we can, and it's just not enough.
In 2021, we were reminded on a daily basis that we are surrounded by a #TinyVillage whose compassion, generosity and love is powerful enough to make miracles happen. Because of you, miracles did happen, and those miracles are inspiring compassion and change on a global scale.
Words will never be able to adequately express our gratitude to each of you for having such a huge impact on us personally, and on the lives we were able to save despite another extremely challenging year. ❤️

Thankfully I grabbed the box of tissues first... This has been my go to channel for so long now for learning. In 2016 I found myself in a feral cat crisis (from a neighbor how sadly passed away). I never realized how many were actually out there. My local Humane Society was SUCH a help. They taught me how to trap and worked with me closely for TNR or finding fosters for kittens. Sometimes I had to foster when there was no one available. I also set up spots for the adults that were trapped but could not immediately get an appointment. TK taught me how to deal with ferals. I will always be grateful to my local Humane Society for paying for all the spay/neuters. My estimate is around 10k... They also found homes for all the kittens trapped. In 3 years I trapped around 40 cats/kittens that had migrated to my yard. The one thing they didn't teach me was how to deal with the heartbreak. TK has taught me so much in that aspect. As hard as it was I would do it again in a second. I still have 3 of my "girls" that I feed on a daily basis (TNR'd ) and they have shelter. I wish more people would learn about ferals. I will be the first one to admit I was totally ignorant. Thank God for channels like TK that educate... priceless IMO... Shelly is my hero... 💗

Oh gosh I started balling as soon as I saw darling Minnow and Guppy. A big thank you to TK I found you 6-17-2021, the day after I took my sweet boy Smokey to the vet to be put to sleep. He had gotten so skinny and sick from kidney disease and at almost 16 years old I had to say goodbye. I still miss him everyday. But with TK I've had healing through interaction with kittens and cats and wonderful chatters and mods. I thank God for all you do for these darling animals. ❤️

I can never watch these videos without crying my eyes out. And then laugh until my belly hurts. 😊 Little Panda and her sisters, Dave's "Hiss" shirt, the kitten driving the basket (I forgot who it was...), my all time favorite TK-cat: Cranky Puffs, Nibbles and her ghost playmate, sweet Hoot, Ron Swanson, the flood cats and, and, and... It was a rough year with a lot of 24/7-care cases and sadly also losses. But without you so many cats and kittens wouldn't have survived at all or would have gone in a horrible way and not surrounded by love, in a warm and safe place. Thank you for saving all those lives, Shelly, Dave, Gwen, Suzanne and the rest of your wonderful crew! ❤️ I wish all of you a wonderful year and I hope you stay happy and healthy! 🥰

Miss Shelly truly is a real life Hero to me. Even with the crushing heartbreaks she continues to reach out and take the difficult cases no one wants. She loves and fights for each one. Her, and our, reward are the tiny (and not so tiny) miracles that happen due to a place called TK. Within TKland there are Snugglers, Aunties, an Unka, and other amazing Volunteers. Such as our Mods, who shout for joy along with us over the successes and grieve with us when an Angel must pass. We are guided by wisdom and love. And we each become a Villager, proud to share the world of TinyKittens and to promote spay, neutering and compassion with love. Thank you Miss Shelly. Thank you Volunteers. Thank you Adopters. And thank you to each and every Villager for caring. ETA spelling is hard through tears of happiness and sorrow.
