Crown Royal bag on the table! I use those in my guitar cases to cover head stocks.....just an old habit. Looks like they may have stored a Wah or Volume pedal on the table in it. I've used them as well for mic's or other music items for years. Crown Royal - the whisky that comes with a Free musicians accessary bag!

I know that Bucky was also in a group early 60's of guitarist Billy Mure, and his Super Sonic Guitars. New York studio musicians. Al Ciolla to I think, there was one more guitarist, I cant recall his name Early"multiple guitar" tracks and I think 2 drummers. Bucky was recorded on hundreds of songs, but back then no mention of who the guitarist was on recordings. Thats how It was for most studio musicians back then.

I see Bucky was still using the black nylon taped strings for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th string. I've yet to try them for guitar. I use them on electric bass.

Yea he must have bought a case of 7 string sets from LaBella. Originally 3rd thru 7th were all taped. When I bought my VanEps Gretch in 1976 I also got half a dozen sets and believe it or not i still have a couple left. The taped strings don't corrode and actually last a pretty long time. But i didn't like them on the VanEps (a 3/4 hollow that tends to have a somewhat tubby sound) and the taped strings are comfortable and easy on the nails if you play with a classical style right hand, and don't squeak, BUT the are also too dark, sound wise. I prefer a brighter sound. You can always mellow it out using front pickup and tone control but it's hard to get a brighter sound with taped strings. Now i use a normal nickel flat wound 6 string set (to avoid squeaking), with a taped 7th! Labella switched to the non-taped 7th i think mainly by the urging of John Pizzarelli, but i still have 2 new sets from which to steal a taped 7. I play mostly classical finger style in coffee house jazz flavor on the 7 string, so the metal wound 7th wears heavily on the thumb nail.
