Ryan is everything you want in a football player. Great ability on the field, a leader in the locker room, and a great human being off the field. I've celebrated many big plays by him. I've shared in the heartbreak when we fell short. We were a play away from a Superbowl win all greatly due to Ryan. I'll continue to wear my #2 Jersey with pride. I’ve been a Falcons fan since 88, and I’ve been here through all of the highs and all of the lows (mostly lows). Matt was here to pick up the pieces after the Petrino and Michael Vick messes. But I gotta say, even after the “28-3”, that this is the most I’ve ever been let down by my team. I’m so disappointed in this franchise. I was heartsick when he left the Falcons, and I followed all of his games with the Colts. I miss watching him play. This past season with the Colts is not even close to being all his fault, though he shouldered such hate and a heavy burden. I've seen tons of personnel, coaching and office changes. Through all of it, the changes that were made were ones that needed to be made. Major decisions came from people who had been in place for a long time. But this, this is inexcusable. A leadership team that has been here a year sent the top two players this organization has ever had packing in the same period. For the first time in my fanship, I do not trust the leadership. I've been through heartbreak and lean times before, but I've never felt betrayed. These are the type of situations that make you reconsider your loyalties.

I was here during the catastrophe that was the 0-6-08 yrs... It was low.... Lower than the SB lost, because that was just one game.... Not a SEASON AND A HALF.... Anyway, Matt Ryan gave the city a Faith and certainty at the QB position for 14 yes, where we didn't have to worry if he would show up... It was getting the o line, the d line, and mostly the defense that we had questions..... But we saw this man turn WR 3s and 4s into 1s and 2s, and have CAREER HIGHS IN yards and catches..... And now we must sink into irrelevancy for 4 - 5 YEARS
