That solo (improvised, I assume) was just filthy. Tom's one of the best in the business, and easily one of the most underappreciated, especially when it comes to being part of a band rather than the focus of it.

I tend to improvise live as it’s just more fun, plus it’s an excuse to work those brain muscles and (hopefully) improve. Very kind of you, thanks

@@thankyouscientist I totally get that but the solo for Son of a Serpent on the album is one of my fav guitar solos ever. Seriously it's a perfect blend of emotion and difficulty, basically a guitar player's dream! I really want to learn it bc I feel like it would be fun to play and also be a great practice tool. Cheers!

Does this song have religious connotations? Because in Jewish legend Cain is the "son of the serpent" and the lyrics "...and to bury the hole!" sounds like burying a dead body just like Cain murdering his brother. Also in the Book of Enoch there is an angel who is described as the "son of the serpent"

I went to a performing arts high school with a really diverse instrumental program, and just could never find musicians to play more technical/interesting shit. Like I'm only pushing 30, and when I see the rare instance of something unique like what you guys are doing, it makes hopeful I'll still find a group of like minded talented musicians like this to play with one day. You guys are fuckin' sick no joke.

"But I'm sure there's a place To bury the old me and start anew Tired of the things I put me through How much can I lose?" These are such powerful lyrics. This song is such an honest evocation of hitting a personal rock bottom and finding the resolve to push to something better. Thank you for this.

This song was probably my favorite for a while. I love every album you guys have put out. I Love Stranger Heads Prevail for its prog rock, and I love Maps of Non-Existent Places for its hard rock, but man Terraformer is just a beautiful mix of both. i really love what you guys do and im a huge fan of the music. I've never seen any band do what you guys do, and i want you to know the music you make is outstanding on a whole other level. Cant wait for the albums to come in the near future!

If you ever do a tour across the Midwest, maybe come somewhere close to Colorado? My friend told me you all had a new album out because I had bought the other two and the EP. This track was the first that played when I followed my friend's link for Spotify. This track literally had me in tears because things have been difficult: "Don't know why I feel so low..." That lyric hit really hard partially because I have diabetes and I'm not saying that diabetes and depression are best friends, but I am saying that diabetes doesn't mind inviting depression over even though it knows I don't have the room to entertain. Low sugar; feeling low -- they kind of become synonymous, and it's not like the USA does anything to help people who are struggling (side note: props for putting out Life of Vermin). Rambling, I know, but I love the new album because it contrasts nicely with the darker elements in Stranger Heads Prevail and confronts struggle while still finding joy where it can. I love your work. This comment may mean little to others, but I appreciate the opportunity to say something, and I hope you keep writing and playing new stuff and just thank you for doing the things.
