Tim went away in good ol' Spurs fashion, quietly and in a humble manner. There will NEVER be another player like Tim Duncan.

Goodbye Timmy! I've been watching you since 2007 and you always came to play! I'm gonna miss you Tim Duncan😊

Became a Spurs fan in 1989 when I was 5 years old. Watched David Robinson play in the HemisFair Arena and watched as experts talk about who should be no. 1 overall pick, Keith van Horn or Tim Duncan. As Spurs fans, we are incredibly lucky to have been a part of these last 19 seasons. We have felt heartache and witnessed miracles. Through it all, we have learned what greatness really is. Most NBA fans will never get the chance to enjoy the experiences that we have become to be familiar with. They will never know what it means to be a part of the Spurs Family. I know the Spurs will continue to succeed because of what Timmy has built in San Antonio and it will continue to be a part of his legacy. He truly has taken this team and city and carried it for many years and his foundation will carry to future Spurs players. As much as us fans want to see the farewell tour he undoubtedly deserves, he has left in the most Tim Duncan way possible again proving that he did it his way. Thank You TD!

Thank You Timmy! Incredible career from a hard working, incredible human being. Like someone said below me, he went out in Spurs fashion. Quietly and humble, the Spurs way. So sad the gang is getting old now, I could watch them play ball all day. Team First!

24 year old San Antonio native and proud to say that I've been a fan of the spurs for as long as I can remember. I know I'm not the only one that feels like the spurs are more than just a team, but family. Thanks for the many years of your loyalty and the exciting games that you brought us spurs fans for 19 seasons!

Just like everything else in life, I knew it would come. I just can't believe it's here. I'm a wreck today upon learning this. However, I am absolutely blessed to have seen him as many times as I did. Even meeting the guy briefly twice, I'll never forget. David Robinson made me a fan of the Spurs, but Tim made me a fanatic!! The 2014 Championship was my biggest highlight as a Sports fan thus far and I was there. There will never be another player like this man. As I told him in person, "Good Luck to you, Timmy!!" #gospursgo #ThankYouTD

Tim Duncan is a class act on and off the court, but knew when to bring his "A" game every time he was on the floor for the San Antonio Spurs. Enjoy this next phrase in your life The Big Fundamental. My favorite NBA player of my life is now immortalized by other basketball greats.
