Afiyet olsun! I'm 1/4 Turkish, so it is wonderful hearing that. My buyukbabam (dede) and grandma always shared the culture with me. I lived abroad in Istanbul and miss being with my distant relatives. Hope you all enjoy the rest of the holidays. Iyi tatilar!

Many countries celebrate some sort of Thanksgiving within their country. I know in my family we celebrate "Chuseok", which is a Korean Thanksgiving, but it's celebrated in September. The concept of "Thanksgiving" isn't exclusive to the States, but I suppose it's only called Thanksgiving in Canada and USA.
