Ah, you lost the neck plate (where the battery is) halfway during the video, so it isn't just mine can't fit snug. Happens with both the smaller and bigger plate, but I eventually just glued the bigger plate permanently (highly recommend to keep a plate on because when used with an external battery, the battery part will get hot and you don't want it to touch your neck directly).

I just realized that too rewatching the video. The extension plates do tend to fall off a lot! Using some glue is a good idea to keep them in place.

Bought 1 a couple years ago. It feels cool in the beginning but after a while you barely feel the difference. Especially outdoors on a hot day.

I recommend using the oscillating mode (3rd mode), the wave one. Because it goes up and down, you keep getting the 'it's cold' feeling like the first time you put it on. Technically strong mode is cooler in theory, but you just end up not feeling it because your body is used to it pretty fast, even though it's working perfectly because when you take it off your neck is ice cold.

I remember something like this that was a literal air conditioner for your neck, on infomercials back in the early 2000's, and I feel like I'm the only one who remembers.

Now I need to do some research because that triggers something in my head too!

@@AwfulGambit In '98 I bought a device from Sharper Image called "Sharper Image Personal Cooling System" you put water in it, and it had a fan that would evaporate the water cooling your neck. It worked on the swamp cooler effect. but didn't work well especially in high humidity.. EDIT.. After some research, I see Sharper Image also made a "Sharper Image Personal Warm + Cool System Wearable Peltier Effect"
