I'm glad you're working on yourself brother. No need to hurry, your mental health has to come first and letting guitar building be an inspiration as opposed to being added pressure on you is hopefully a helpful way forward for you! You are such a stellar builder and a huge inspiration for me, I really hope to see you back in the shop enjoying yourself soon but let it take as long as it takes. Peace and Love brother. We'll be here when you are ready!

Mental Health is a massive issue that society is only now coming to recognise. I have had issues in recent times & with medication & family support I am now in a much better place. You must prioritise YOURSELF as the number one priority. You have inspired so many others, not least of myself, & for that you should be commended without reservation. Your skills & talent are something to be respected & treasured. The wider world will be more than happy to wait until you are back on track. My personal experience has shown me that down time for yourself is paramount. Being out in the countryside (or even the garden) has been the best therapy for me, along with huge support form my wife. Stay safe brother! Look after yourself. YT will still be here for you when you get back!!!

Oh it's been a minute Daniel since I've been here. I haven't been doing much KZbin in quite a while now about a year, but I'm still subscribed to you and I'm sorry to hear about your mental health status. I'm praying for you man. You'll get through it. You can do it. You're a strong man. You have strong will anybody that can make the super awesome guitars that you helped inspire me to make my own guitars can get through this. Take your time. Don't even worry about this channel or owing anybody. Anything,"you owe yourself brother". Remember that Daniel you owe yourself. Nobody can make you better except you. They can help but it's all up to you and you've got this. I know you can do it. I know you remember who I am. I've been around since right around the beginning when you first started your channel and I love your guitars ever since and even though I don't personally know you, I've come to respect you man and I'm proud to say that I'm your friend and I would like to meet you someday. We just live on opposite continents so that makes it hard right now but you never know. But like I said, you have all my prayers and sympathy and I'll try to send as much strength as I can your way if there's a way to send it by positive thinking which I'll happily do. Take care of yourself brother. We all love you here man. Until next time. God bless you and your family

Love to see you again! I think of you quite often and trying always to send good vibes to you and your family. You're doing great! Those hikes are a true relief for the mind and body. When I were able back in time, I used to have some walks or about 1 hour a day and those moments one can feel really fine. That forest look so beautiful and elusive. Great path to free our inner doubts. I"m sure you'll be back in the shop with new energies and inspiration. If that spark of creating new guitars is still burning deep, the moment will arrive. Don't look for it, and be patience. It will arrive by itself and it'll fill you with so much joy. Trust! Big hugs and keep being so brave!

You are the one that made me take the leap of faith from dreaming about building guitars to actually having one of mine sit, right at this moment, on my lap as my main player. Least I can do is send love and support. The road to recovery is not the easiest one but don't make the mistake I once did - it's not the fastest road that is the best, it's the one that takes you safely to your destination while enjoying the view on the way as much as you can. It's worth it in the long term.

Very much looking forward to the workshop tour, even in the background it seems like you've made a special place to build guitars. I've only recently started building my first guitar (from scratch), and without your videos, and Todd and Gio, I wouldn't have the confidence to dive in. It is great to see you back and smiling! I enjoyed the walk through the woods, and it is exciting to think we will be seeing a new design... A tour of the new workshop would be a great video too. It is a part of her and I love her for it.

Nature soothes the soul and clears the mind. One of the great Dutch Masters, Vincent Van Gogh, suffered from mental and physical issues, but created incredible works of art through his painting! So do not let the way you feel stop you from doing the work you love. If you need a rest then it is important to do so. The work can wait. You will know when it is time to start again.

Vriendelijke groeten, Arie

Ease back into building without the cameras mate. Do the build for your enjoyment not anything else. Get that feel we all get of hitting that flow state where the world disappears and there is nothing but you and the the tools and the wood. When you complete a build poke a friend with a stick and say hey bro can you make a quick video for me to show the final results. ZERO stress for you and we still get to see the amazing things you do. I think when the weather gets better here where I can be outside more than a few minutes without my neck tensing up from the cold I will start doing regular walks as well. I have a nice state park less then a km from where I sit. It just has a massive up hill road to hike to get into haha. On a side note... When I was in college I got into the honors English program and did a lot of free writing my thoughts and ideas in a journal. Its amazing once you relax and dont feel stupid doing that how much more relaxed you can become just from that exercise. In the end you can go back and see the progress or you can burn them and put the demons to rest so no one else can learn about them.
