Dave was an incredible man and a fantastic cook. He will be greatly missed by millions. RIP Dave. And yes, let’s have another Dave Day. Just to remember a ‘Man of the people’ who never pretended to be anything other than a good bloke!

Dave was/is very much loved so are you for that matter pal, I love your shows and I watched the goes west series yesterday morn but I couldn't bring myself to watch the last 5/10 mins of episode 6 because (I know this sounds daft) but it was really final if that makes any sense so I had to switch it off, I'm a 48 year old bloke (apparently) and I shed more than a tear or two I don't mind telling ya Tek care mukka 👍

This was truly THE most epic motorcycle event that I have ever been involved with. Thank you Woody! Thank you Lili! Thank you Si! And of course thank you so much Dave Myers! The Hairy Bikers has been a force of nature, spreading the love for the biking community. Bikers have shown how amazing the world is when people come together! Rest easy Dave! The world was a better place with you in it!

Barrow as seen nothing like it. The atmosphere in the town/furness area has been electric. The love and respect shown to Dave and each other yesterday was something I will always treasure. Thanks to everyone. Dave Myres one of Barrows finest.

Absolutely 💯 Probably the most incredible thing I've ever seen!! A lot of people, ourselves included, slag Barrow off. But, by Christ, we know how to honour one of our own and welcome the world to Barra-dise 🥰💪

This event should become THE biggest motorcycle run in the country (with maybe a different start/finish each time) and all donations to go to the charities he supported. 😊

A great tribute to a great man, from a great biking community, supported by the public who loved him. I hope all you riders made it home safely, it was great to see you all coming up the M6, through Carnforth. Now, Barrovians, petition for a statue - to honour one of your own.

For days perhaps weeks I felt quite anxious about attending what could turn out to be a daunting long day in the saddle; but Im so glad I participated in the ride from the Ace Cafe thru to Barrow. What an amazing bond with all bikers and supporters. I returned home to Wandsworth London yesterday evening, feeling very numb & tired but oh so worth being part of a cause for a lovely man. Bless you Si and Lil and all those around you (including the authoritys) that organised the eventful day. Great to see that we all had a positive affect on closing the M6, fantastic. I can see why you and Dave had a very secial union, you're both top blokes, very rare gems. Kind Regards Rob

What an awesome tribute to a man of the people, he will be sadly missed but also fondly remembered by so many, the biking community smashed it out the park again, let’s do this again next year! Well done Si and Lili for honouring Dave’s legacy in such a humble but yet spectacular way.🤘😎

The day was a great homage to the wonderful Dave. I am just sorry i could not make it on the day. Being a biker, in the future it will be one of those "what do you regret in life" questions and the answer will be "not being able to be part of DAVE DAY " Well done to all that turned up and the support along the way. If it turns into an annual event i am sure the support would be amazing. Love to all, family and friends for doing such an amazing event for an amazing man ❤🏍

Why ? , he was a tv chef not a bloody saint
@MorningtonCrescent7 ай бұрын
@@johnhankinson1929 to use this high profile case to raise further much needed funds. The publicity received has hit the national press and by holding this every year, it is easier to be remembered as an annual event in the calendar - every opportunity is important. Oh - and it's a fun day for all too, so what's not to love?! Grumpy.

Can't really better what's been said about Dave. And can only agree that it would be something to do every year. Support the charities he gave time and effort to. Also his craft before food became his passion, Make Up, big screen and TV. Set up something for both, with a prize or a scholarship in both arts. Rest in peace Dave.
