Kitchen love with mama Booth. I think every viewer looks forward to holidays at the Booths. Ugh, just the best. The look on Fernando's face when he tried that turkey said all that needed to be said. Man, I need to get me some of that injection mix and seasoning and try that out. Thanks Adam and family!!! The holiday content is always one of the years highlights.

Adam, thanks for sharing. I really felt like I was there, but I had to keep a dish towel in my mouth so I didn't drool all over the keyboard. Your mom reminds me of mine. Enjoy her all you can for the rest of her life. Happy Thanksgiving to you too. Rich

One of my BBQ Brotherhood did 9 turkeys and 12 shoulders this year, whereas the 2 bretheren I normally cook with did 9 shoulders, some butts, 2 turkeys, ribs and pork chops. I consider Thanksgiving a multi-day event. Be thankful for family, friend's, BBQ,....beer.

@@Abom79 You sure do. Both of my grandmothers are gone and I sure wish I had several of their recipes, my mom is still alive but I am not sure if she remembers what she did, she is not doing good. One day you may regret not having those favorite recipes that you love so much.

Adam, something you might want to try is using a chimney charcoal starter. You put paper in the bottom and charcoal in the top. You light the paper and it starts the coals with out using charcoal lighter fluid. So much better than tasting that lighter fluid. You save a bunch of money on not buying that high priced lighter fluid.
@AbomAdventures6 жыл бұрын
You don’t taste lighter fluid. It evaporates away.

Have you had any issues with the Meater? I read reviews and it seems that about 40% of the people say that the thing dies after one or two uses. I've seen you use this thing quite a bit, so I'm curious as to if this is the same one from the first time you've used it. I currently use a Polder probe thermometer, but since it isn't wireless I need to constantly be checking temps (both smoker temp as well as meat temp).
@Abom796 жыл бұрын
It's good for one good long cook then needs to be charged. After each cook I clean it and stick it back onto the charge base.

Remember your speeds and feeds when cutting that bird. Use the right tools and follow the customers layout. Don't want to have to scrap your work that far into a job.
