INSPIRATION!!!!!!! I firmly believe in pre prepping before the big day. Whatever can be cooked, chopped, sliced , etc ahead of time makes my life much easier on Thanksgiving Day. I have run across my shopping and to do lists for both Thanksgiving and Christmas from 5 years ago while decluttering paperwork!

Hi Allison, everything looks so delicious and thank you so much for sharing. My Condolences to all those who’s lost a loved one. I also lost my mom last February 18, 2021. She was in a nursing home and when COVID happened didn’t help her condition. She had dementia and her not seeing us for almost a year was horrible. She got a stroke and they didn’t tell us and she went down hill from there and we brought her home she wasn’t eating. Anyway it’s been hard for me since she had a birthday this October 30th and missing her. It takes time of healing so I understand for all of you. I pray for Gods peace and healing for all of you. It’s so important during the holiday to be with your love ones to get through it. Spend time sharing reminiscing on good memories you had with the ones who’s passed as well. 🧡🍁🌻

You’ve excused me to cook. We’ve recently lost our parents and all the kids are out of the house all of it is a first for this Thanksgiving so I’ve been kind of blah about it but I need to just be thankful for what is good and find enjoyment in it. Thank you!!

@Kimberly. Sandalwood so sweet of you. I am sorry for your loss. I definitely need your attitude. My mom’s funeral was 3 days before Thanksgiving last year and then my son in law died 2 weeks later very suddenly so then Christmas was a bummer and his daughter, our granddaughter’s birthday is a day after Christmas so we just stumbled through it all. Last year was just overwhelming in general but then went even more downhill. Still numb & I know they would want me to perk up. So I am going to keep watching Lauren & adopt your positive attitude. Enjoy your holidays.

I also lost my dad last Christmas. The holidays are feeling very uncomfortable for me. Not sure how to feel? I know dad would want me to do it up as I used to. But just not feeling it. Maybe I'll feel different next week
@danielleS2573 жыл бұрын
@@ssing2490 I hope so. My dad (passed away 22 yrs ago) used to tell me that life is for the living and that the best was to honor his memory was to live my life well. So we all need to do that. I think if we don’t we will just cease to enjoy anything. I will be keeping my 🤞for you.

I am so sorry Dani - my heart breaks for your family. Sometimes it's ok to take a break and put yourself and your heart first. We have a very hard year last year and I cried from Thanksgiving to Christmas almost everyday from a very hard loss. I threw myself into things that kept my heart and my mind happy and gave myself the grace I needed to get through the season. We are all here for you and I am sending you love and warm hugs this holiday.

Prep is so important. Pre-prep is THE most important thing you can do for a big meal such as a family Thanksgiving meal. 👪 My niece, who is an only child, invites my husband, myself, our 4 children, their spouses and our 13 grandchildren to her house for Thanksgiving. I don't know how she does it but she does and does it spectacularly.

The cheese dip is similar to one I make (no mayo) for Christmas eve dinner, but I shape mine into a christmas tree. I leave some extra chopped pimentos, red, yellow, and jalapeno peppers to decorate the outside. I use my star shape cookie cutter to cut a piece of sharp cheddar cheese. It's a favorite in my house.
