I’m glad they cut this scene. This makes Natasha look stupid and reckless. Tactically speaking, she had no idea whether or not she’d make that run. And for her to jump off as Thanos is approaching Clint, for all she knew she was abandoning Clint to a death from Thanos right after she killed herself. She’d have no idea if her sacrifice would transport Clint away. Definitely made the right choice in changing the scene to what we got. It's still nice to see them get some spotlight in combat but two non super powered people with guns, tasers, knives, a sword and a bow holding off a squad of laser shooting spacecrafts doesn't quite sit right and would have simultaniously lessened the percieved danger of Thanos and his troops while also overshadowing one of the most human and touching scenes in the mcu. The scene of Widow running through open space with her arms wide open really takes away from the drama in the scene.
