Thargoids operate on a Never Surrender, Never retreat doctrine. But they have been known to pull back military forces if they can't secure a region (Guardians did push them from their territory extremely successfully)

Maybe you arent engineering enough. I run a shieldless krait and can kill the cyclops in about 2 minutes or less. Try this: s.orbis.zone/bhkm. I take it you wont have all the engineers and stuff unlocked but you should be ok provided you engineer to the fullest of your capacity.

There should most likely be a "power level" for ships to correctly give the player a fair amount of credits for the job that was done, more mods, and higher grade modules, along with something like a "rank" (to determined how skilled you are, and if you truly deserve the credits) would increase power level and help give the player an increase in credits for that job done so players can actually get the amount they need without under paying things like this. This easily should've gave 50 mill. Maybe more for how long it took 1 player to beat this thing. I feel this would give players a reason to grind for not just credits but for a bigger payout in what they do.

I once lost a bet and had to take on a Basilisk solo in an all-rounder Anaconda. I didn’t even last 30 seconds. This guy has a combat build specifically for taking down thargoids in a corvette and it takes him 45 minutes for one Hydra. I think the boss difficulty is Dark Souls level, no?

Thargoids took the first aggressive step because they deemed humanity's presence on their seed planets a threat. In return we released biochemical agents on them and nearly wiped out their species from known space. Guardian attempts at communication failed, and we haven't even made attempts to communicate properly. No defensive posture was taken, just aggression. Thargoids in Elite Dangerous started out with a neutral faction rep and used to not attack players until threatened. Much like Starship Troopers, Humanity took the largest and most drastic steps towards alien life because they're "lesser" to us. We don't even understand what or how Thargoids really are and yet we kill them for pleasure. We don't even know what kind of a conscience they have, of they're a hive, how long they live.

It instantly brings the shields up to 50% and heals any inoperative modules. You don't have to wait for your shields to regenerate from broken (which takes 16 minutes on his build), but you are a sitting duck while ALL your systems reboot.
