To answer some of your questions in the video- 1. Every physical thing which you can touch and feel(except natural things), those all exists because of mechanical engineering. 2. The courses which you STUDIED and scored good marks in them are all the foundation of innovating new things which can ease human life. 3. If there will be no core beaches, the world that you see around you wouldn't exist (again except natural world) 4. Just because you've chosen mech engg because you were good in physics is the stupidest thing I've heard!...just because you were not able to get most out of mech engg doesn't mean that it should be removed or something else. 4. If you ever come across any mech engg individual who is working in a core company, ask him about the relevance of the subjects in the course. And all the braches are interdisciplinary so you have to learn coding and circuits even if you're in core brach. So stop spreading bullshit just because you were not worthy of the course. It's a shame that people like you get into IIT's and later complaint about things. Atleast think before going into IIT and stop wasting seats for deserving candidates!

Bhai when you will be on Field you will know condition of this branch, India's core sectors are not growing as they should compared to IT sector, getting in RnD is very hard without PHD in mechanical, average pay I am getting even though I know AutoCAD, ansys etc is 12000 senior who is working in design for 3 year is earning 22000 22000 is starting salary of CSE guys, ground reality is totally different, this isn't the right time to pursue mechanical specially in india. I am learning python and targeting to shift to data analysis by march next year, because I am unable to see my life in this direction, I also loved mechanical once, but I am from middle class family, if I keep getting this much pay I won't be able to make a small house for myself. You might say I should sit for gate exam etc, Ask any person who passed gate exam in mechanical and working in PSU, how much work related to mechanical he is doing, all they do is handle human power and papers, Its dead field as of now, Baki tum khud karloge to samajh jaoge, abhi branch ke against sun ne me dikkt ho rhi hogi but side by side non mech skills add kr lena it will help, don't do same mistake as we did.

If I got ur video in 2015 or 2016 probably I would have been landed in some IT company. After graduating from tier 3 college 2019 that too from mechanical dept , its really tough to get job in core after pandemic . But I got a job almost 1 year after graduation. Working 12hrs a day including compulsory 8hrs work on sundays getting 18k per month . Even it is hard to differentiate which is Sunday or Monday . weekly alternate shifts.

I learned Python last year. After graduating last year I thought I will go into IT sector as well. Then got a job and worked with a train derailment equipment company. Those equiemts were cool as ice. Because of the company's bad policies and behaviour I had to leave and now studying for GATE. No matter what people say. In manufacturing industries and whatever the fook going on in this world can't be done without this "obsolete" engineering process. Those codes are running on a computer which consists of a motherboard which went through severe machining processes to get that desired shape, the fr107 diodes are prodcuts of wire drawing, those copper connection thin plates are made out of a thick copper plate which was rolled and UV resisted. Those microprocessor bodies and their legs are made with the help of this "obsolete" engineering process. Even the laptop body or the cpu case. 🙂 My fellow Mechanical Engineers. Do not be afraid for JOBS. Learn & Grow, hard work never gets wasted.

Diploma and ITI peoples are there to take care of manufacturing. Literally a diploma student can do a same job what can be done by engineering graduate in industry . I can say that Blbecause i hold both degrees and worked in industry . When you go through high competition and rigorous process of Engineering you feel like i deserve better . Its totally okay .but most of the mechanical industries are not ready for that to give a life you always dreamed off, and when you see your CS/IT friends you get depressed. I do not mean that mechanical is a bad branch at all , the indian education system and ecosystem for engineers is bad in india . Its better to choose IT industry than to struggle for a life you wanted in mechanical because you will never get it . If you wants to stay in mechanical then buddy lower your expectations and accept what it is .

As a mechanical engineer I would say this video is damn good and I am passionated in mechanical engineering and would like to mention that all those formulas are like formulas for integration which you will learn in 12th. May be they looks un useful but they are really helpful when you are designing something. Offcourse there are softwares to do that but in the back-end they are run by these things. It's not only about mechanical, any branch would seems irrelevant about job but it's gives a wider knowledge for research and helps to create new things

You will realise it after graduating. I think ME is the real engineering branch. May be you are not going to use it directly but the problem solving skills/Analytical skill you developed here will help you Sell Your Way Through Life. Coding and ML?data science skill(most CS grads getting into) you can learn by your own, it's not a big deal. Even in IIT these courses are taught to all the students. If you want to get into research/phd or building something from scratch it will help you directly.

I have b.tech in mechanical 2021 passed out! Now I am working towards career transition to "Data science". I got 3 job offers in Mechanical and have 5577 AIR in GATE ME 2021 Still no use bro. The work we get is something else mostly management or irrelevant, and core job I got has too less salary! Planning to do MS in Automotive from Germany (I have 9.28 cgpa btech) and after talking with my dream university alumni... they themselves are working in 90%software-10%mech industries only! I am deeply broke "_" I realized one thing : Whatever you do...at the end, software/coding is what earns you bread and butter! So instead of running away from it...i am submitting myself to it..so that in future, I will work on what I learn and what I choose. My regret: Although I am from tier 3 college, No tier 3 college name matters! When I had my counselling...instead of choose top 10 tier 3 colleges and going for mechanical...i should have chosen normal college which could have fetched me a CS or ECE degree!

Damn dude, Idk but I always think about making such videos and guide students who are getting into engineering. This is the brutal reality of what Mechanical Engineering has come into. The courses are irrelevant. While the CSE guys learn a new language in 6 months, we end up reading formulas and theory which are of no use in coming future. So if someone is forcing u to choose CSE becoz that's the demand then don't.. Becoz in CSE too there is a lot^10 of competition...... Everybody knows coding but the one better than others have a job...so pls request to all don't make coding as a feature.... Core branche students can do wonders in there branches as well.... A coder cannot do work as a civil engineer... A coder cannot make genetics like a biotechnology engineer..., Etc... Hope u all understand. ❤️

Nice perspective but remember that you don't always need a degree in the feild to get a job. All you need is years of experience and the skills. My father has no degree in mechanical engineering, he switched from sales management to maintenance management for mining. He still does the work of Sales and Marketing cuz of the experience hand in hand with maintenance. For me, I aim to become a software engineer. Not necessarily IIT but any good reputable college. It doesn't matter if I get IIT in any other branch. If it's not CSE then I ain't going for it. But what I heard from my father is that you have more advantage in any sector to get a job if you know both programming and core course. Good luck to everyone, and keep working hard.

Bro I can understand your feelings because I already went through this phase and passed out in the corona year and got no job. You are right if someone is from low level colleges then they shouldn't be choose to core branches like civil, mech, chemical. Nowadays mostly these low level colleges doing only business on the name of so called engineering.

@@arandomintrovert9514 Before taking admission in any college I will suggest you go for IT or cse , like first a person think I can't do programming it's a scary....bla bla but these kind of person after doing graduation in other field run behind the IT jobs because it's a office job Or work from home also paying highest salary but depend on only ur skills. But if you think no mechanical engineering is my love I can't live without machines and so called mother of all engineering. Then, first you have to set a road map of this field. Make the list of college's 1. First visit or make contact with college students who are already there and ask them about the job placement and there college staff and also pay attention to admission criteria how to get admission what is required score to get admission or scholarship. If you are cleared from the step first move forward 2. Now, Study hard no matter which college you are from good or bad. Don't even listen to stupid people who are saying lines like a piece of paper can't decide your future, or c.g.p.a doesn't matter. But you have to maintain your c.g.p.a and also enjoy ur life . I mean to say balance your study life and personal life . 3. Now, if you think placement is not good in the college in which you are... then start preparing for Gate exam only way to get high salary package if you will not placed on campus.....or other exam like ies, drdo, isro etc. upto your own choice. But again you have to study hard. For example: if you get any college which is tier2 or 3 mechanical engineering salary package will be low as compared to IT I am considering the worst scenario. May be a good company will visit in the college and provide high package. But you have to be more practical in the mechanical field...... learn design softwares, do internships wherever possible even you can learn car service. Please don't stay free in college holidays. Last krna toh bhai IT mein b padega but difference itna hai IT mein tumhe idhr udhr bhagana nahi pdega only you your laptop and internet. But in mechanical you have to work in industrial area even in corona Actually when I got admission I was also very curious about cars but I didn't even see a car engine in my college. Gradually when the semesters passed my interest was going down. You have to decide what you want. Ask questions to yourself regarding your career. I hope you will get some clarification.

What I'm just doing now is studying through the core subjects and getting marks in exams only. From last year I get into programing. Just learnt some languages.All I need is getting a job as fast after passout in 2022. So can you give some advice ? Im really confused , all I have left is 1 year ahead. Can I stick onto core subjects and after completing do some 6th month add own Course on NDT, automation etc and what are the scopes to get a job after completing some practical 6month add own courses. And do we get higher salary if we work until 3 years in core. Or do I keep learning on coding and get placed on IT sector. Or do masters in mechanical engineering abroad and look for job there?If you have time please reply?🙏

Tarun do not worry , i have 20 years Industrial Experience , did BE in Electronic and I am Non IIT Ian . Do projects on Solid Works , Catia also Can do M Tech. You can do MBA Marketing after B Tech from IIT. Yo can enter into sales if you did better after few years you can got good salary. Also in Today's Automobile Industry You can enter into Robotics Design, CNC Machine design.
