Glad you’re ok. The two tone setup is nice. Especially like the side window access options for quick gear retrieval. Setting up my SD for overlanding as well and this cap is near the top of the list. Exposed overlanding frame designs where all your gear is hanging out for everybody to see is not my speed, plus everything gets way dirtier faster so this is the way to go IMO as well. Didn’t even think of that. Beautiful truck you have; I just got quoted $4523 for the same overland cap that you have for my ranger and the quote didn’t include the two led lights and prop over the windoors or the 12v outlet. Can I ask how much you paid a year ago.

The dealer here just about has a monoply; they are the only lear and are dealer in the entire phoenix metro; 4 million people and 1 dealer. @@COLTSWAY I was looking at the FX4 package but by the time I would do the aftermarket mods, I would be close to or at XLT Tremor price, so that's where I'm headed. I have a cap on my 150 that I like but I have to check if it will fit the new 250. I like that one you put on your truck with the opening side windows. Makes it easy to grab stuff without having to climb all the way to the front from the back. How do you like the 43? I just got one and need to finish the break in on it. Nice weapon so far, can't wait to shoot it again.

Yea plus the front diff on the Tremor is 👌🏻. The cap won’t fit if it’s on a 150. They side windows or they call them windoors are the way to go. And I love the 43. Carry it everyday now for almost 3 years. 🇺🇸

Great Looking truck, I have a 2019 F250 same color as yours. I've been thinking about putting a camper shell on mine and after seeing yours, I think this is the one for me. I can sympathize with you and do understand just what you went through with your hunting accident. I am a avid bow hunter as well, 6 years ago while hunting in Kansas I had a very similar situation happen to me. After a morning hunt and seeing a huge buck just out of range, I decided to relocate my lock-on stand. I found the tree I wanted to use, started putting up my strap-on steps, was standing on top of the second step just hung the third step, pulling on it checking it to make sure it was secure when it came loose! The right toe of my boot hung on the back side of the step I was standing on as I fell which pivoted me head first down the tree. Like you I was in a hurry, I had my safety harness on but had not used my safety rope while climbing. I hit head first onto my fourth step that was laying at the base of the tree, put a 3 inch gash above my left eye across to just above my left ear. Shattered my right wrist in three places, probably hit a tree root I guess. It snapped my back so severe that it fractured the L1 thru L5 vertebrae wing tip as I hit the ground. I was only about 12 feet high at the time. I don't know about you, but I laid there a few minutes thinking, praying and hoping I was going to be able to move. Good new, I was able to get up, grab my bow and backpack and walk out about a mile back to my truck where my father and buddy was eating a sandwich, I had so much blood on me from my head, they thought it was deer blood and I was messing with them, which ended quickly to get me to the hospital. God is so good, he was with me the whole time and also with you. He will never forsake you or give you more than you can handle. God bless you brother and keep the faith.

I would love a new camper shell. They are around $3,000 when you put a few options on them so I just bought of $300 one that is like new and I can pimp it out myself on the cheap.

Hey bro, I have an ARE z serious cap on my 2015 f350. I love it. Have the bed rug in there and bed rug liner on inside of cap. We spoke via email last week and told you I was deleting. Well, I did and man do I love it. Sound and performance are great and I don’t hate the 17.4 mpg I’m getting now around town.

Glad I could help brother, they are totally different trucks! What tune are you running? I run the 80 hp high rail pressure paired with medium shift 2nd gear lock trans tune. I LOVE it. Although I do get better mileage on the 200 HP QR tune. 🇺🇸

I run an ez link with a 75hp pretty standard tune. I’m actually not real techy and don’t really know how to use the thing lol. I don’t have SOTF tunes. I was actually going to ask if I need to keep the ez link plugged in at all times or if I can unplug it or does it matter. I’m wondering if it being plugged in and that little blue light on it will drain my batteries?

I leave mine plugged in all the time. It won’t drain the battery. I have it on, my dash cam, and a 12 volt in the camper shell always hot. Plus a flashlight charger as well. Never had a issue and I sometimes go over a week without starting it due to work. But yes if you want you can unplug it, just do it with the truck not running. I keep it plugged in so I can monitor temps. 🇺🇸

Ordered my A.R.E shell back in the beginning of Feb. right after receiving my new Silverado, and I just received it earlier this week (over 20 week wait) was told several times that it was being built and and that it would be shipped. Original time frame I was told was 10-12 weeks. After that just plan on getting the runaround. I even offered to drive up to Ohio and pick it up when they told me it was a shipping issue, only to find out that it hadn't been built and that it was just another line of BS they were coming up with. On a good note only 2 of the 4 windows leak....I like the function of the vented windoors but they leak pretty bad. Not looking forward to taking it the dealer, I'm sure they will make up some crap. Paid $3350.00. I recommend going with Leer (I have one on my Ram) it's been on for 12 years and have had NO issues. If I hadn't spent so mush I would take it off and use it for target practice then burn it to the ground. (With the so called fiberglass shortage) you can tell that the shell is much more flimsy than the older style. Have a nice day

The wait was due to covid. They running 1/3 of the employees. I had to wait longer then they said as well. My two side windows leaked. Took to dealer and they shipped it back to ARE two weeks later I had it back and hasn’t leaked since. So hopefully it is good to go now. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

Awesome set up. Just got the exact same shell. The LED only work when the back door is open and not when each side window opens independently. I have been unable to find any wiring diagram online. Do you have any advice?

Thanks brother. Yea the led lights work individually when you open a side window. Or I can just turn them on and off with a button with the windows closed. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

On mine the button is a three way button. All the way to the left is for when I open the window it turns on, then when I close it it goes off. All the way to the right is for when the window is closed and I want the light on. The middle position is if I don’t want it to do anything when I open the window. Hope that helps.

I called a A.R.E. and asked them for any kind of instructional wiring diagram and they sent me to a website and there was nothing that talked about the LED lighting wiring. I will just have to continue to look online and hopefully I will find something.

@@COLTSWAY yes The prop switches are there and seem to be installed but not working. I even unplugged the wiring going to the prop switch and it had no effect on the LED lights.
